Catherine Mosdell / Partnership / Chair / Before my retirement last year I worked within the education sector for over 20 years. My area of expertise is pastoral support, behaviour management and Safeguarding. I first joined the Governing Body in 2007 and was elected Chair in 2014. In addition to being Chair of Governors I am the Link Governor for Special Educational Needs and Safeguarding; I am also a member of the Finance & Premises Committee. I am very proud to be part of Harlington School and of the achievements of the school and each and every pupil.
For fun I like to read, sew and also follow Chelsea Football Club.
Judith O’Neill / Co-Opted / Vice Chair / I have been involved in education all my working life including as a youth worker and am passionate about given young people from all backgrounds the best possible opportunities. I am currently a senior manager in a further education college. My areas of expertise include post 16 curriculum and quality, engaging challenging young people and HE in FE. I live locally to Harlington School and was a governor a number of years ago. I re-joined the Governing Body in 2013 when my son started at the School. I am Vice- Chair and am proud of the School and the many achievements of all the pupils
In my spare time I enjoy running, swimming, watching films and TV dramas and seeing friends.
Lucy McCann / Co-Opted / I am a qualified marketer with over 20 years’ experience, starting my career in one of the UK's largestpublishing houses beforemoving into the Further Education sector. I have adegree in English and Religious Studies with a Certificate in Education, training as a primary school teacher for Key Stage 1. I also hold the Chartered Institute of Marketing post graduate Diploma in Marketing.I am the Head of Marketing at a local college withresponsibilityfor the communications and management ofcorporate marketing activity. I was brought up in Hayes and maintain a keen interest ineducation and the opportunities available to young people in our local area. This is my first governor role and I am very proud to be working with Harlington School.
For fun I enjoy travel, dance, cooking and good food!
Shanil Bhatt / Partnership / I am a former student of Harlington Community School, and joined the Governing Body in 2015 to support the school and its pupils in continuing to grow and excel. After attending Harlington Community myself, I went on to study Mathematics at Kings College London and subsequently complete a Masters at Imperial College London in the same field. Since graduating in 2010, I have been working as a management consultant specialising in project management and process improvement.
Paul Nelhams / Co-Opted / Hi, I am a relatively new governor having only joined in 2015.
I am a member of the associate staff for the school which gives me the unique opportunity to view all decisions for the school from both a governor stand point, and as a member of staff. I am very proud to be a part of the governing body and to also say that I am a member of staff here. I have a child at Harlington, and I am excited to see her learn with such a strong team of staff.
Alan Brookes / Partnership / Until my retirement in 2013 I had taught history, sociology and politics for 40 years andled the social sciences department. However mymain responsibility was as Director of the Sixth Formwhich also included boththe Aim Higher, UCAS and careers guidance programmes across the school. I became a governor of Harlington School in 2015 and look forward to using my experienceto support the progressof the school. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching cricket and supporting Tottenham Hotspur F C
John Morse / Local Authority / I have worked for 15 years as the IT manager for The Engineering College at Brunel University. He is a Councillor at the London Borough of Hillingdon representing the Pinkwell Ward. He has joined the School as the Local Authority School Governor and has experience working for Education Committees on the Council. He is married to a former teacher and has two grown up children.
Tony Little / Partnership / I chair the Governing Body’s Finance and Premises Committee. I have been a governor for many years and also serve as a co-opted member of the London Borough of Hillingdon’s Children, Young People and Learning Policy Overview Committee. Before retiring I helped manage pension fund investments. In the past, I was a councillor for the Pinkwell and Harlington areas, chairman of a local hospice charity and of a local housing association. In my spare time I read history and listen to the blues. I have published books and articles on Victorian politics.
William McGovern / Staff Governor / I am the Teacher governor at Harlington School. I hold the position of Curriculum Leader for Computing and have taught in a number of London Schools. I am a Foundation Governor at a Primary School and have previously held a position as a Governor at a Primary School, in London. I enjoy travelling with my family and our daughter attended the Sixth form at Harlington.
Elizabeth Horrigan / Ex-officio / Headteacher / I qualified as a teacher in 1993, and have taught Music and Special Needs in both special and mainstream schools. I have been a safeguarding lead for more than 20 years.
In addition to being the Headteacher of Harlington School, I am currently a governor for the OCHAT Academy Trust, who oversee two special schools in Hillingdon I was previously also a governor at The Henrietta Barnett School in Hampstead.
I am currently a Hillingdon Local Leader in Education, and a member of the Schools’ Forum. I was chair of the Managed Moved and Inclusion Panel from 2012 to 2016, and a member of the MASE/ MAP Child Sexual Exploitation group for 2015 – 16.
In my spare time I am an avid reader, and an enthusiastic beginner tennis player.
Enomfon Ntefon / Parent Governor / I am a highly motivated Stress Management/Lifestyle Coach, Ordained Pastor and Practice Nurse with relevant clinical, community and people experience and skills practised within the public health and business sectors.
I have also co-pastored with my husband in both Africa and United Kingdom.
I have worked across the board with diverse patients and clients in multi-cultural and elite settings. I possess counselling and coaching skills which I utilise in diverse health-care, stress management and relationship management settings.
I have authored severalbooks including Beyond Sexual Attraction and also organise workshops and online programmes to empower young people to make right life and relationship choices.
I am a Director of VIPStressSolutions and Co- Director of Winning Relationships both in United Kingdom.
Michelle Stephenson / Co-opted / I have worked in Secondary Education for approximately 12 years in a range of capacities such as a member of the SLT, an AST and other whole school responsibilities. I am passionate about the outcomes of young people and ensuring they are given the best tools for life and as result started my company Transformation Education Ltd in 2014. Hillingdon is a borough I live and have always worked in; so it is a real privilege to become a member of the Governing Body at Harlington School to help make a difference to our community. My areas of expertise include: teaching and learning; re-engaging disaffected young people in their learning and giving pupils the confidence to achieve. In my spare time I enjoy the simple things in life: spending time with family and friends; watching films and enjoying a good book!
Raj Sikand / Co-opted / In the last 15 years I have worked in a variety of Human Resources roles, which include the Education sector. I am also a member of the Chartered institute of Personnel Development.
I hope to utilise my skills and experience to support the development of the school.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading and going to the gym.

Alan Williams / Co-Opted / I have been a Governor since 2009 and am a member of the Finance and Premises committee and have sat on exclusion panels when required.
I am a criminal defence lawyer by trade, representing clients from the police station to the crown court. I am married to Dr. Sharon Wright, an educational consultant.
Resigned as a Governor 5 July 2016.
Adam Daoudi / Staff Governor / I am the Teacher governor at Harlington School. It is currently my ninth academic year at the school and throughout this period I have been a History Teacher. I am also currently the SL of History and NUT rep at the school.
