SWIS / Tim Wilson / Tim presented updated summary form. Lunchtime, fighting, and classrooms were referral leaders.
SWIS training / Sam / Sam gave a very brief report on the SWIS Facilitator training she completed last week in Eugene. It was interesting, informational and has the potential of being extremely beneficial as we move forward with PBS in the District!
Southern Oregon PBS Conference / Marlene Peterson / Marlene reported on the Early Ed/Elementary School portion of the conference, beginning with a comment on the excellence of keynote speaker, Annemieke Golly, Ph.D. Marlene experienced several “Aha!” moments during her conference day and expressed appreciation for the opportunity to attend.
Behavior Support Coach update / Matt Brausam / Matt shared the information that Natalie Anderleti is having some duties reassigned so she can fill this role for next eight months. More details will be forthcoming.
TIPS Project Update / Tim Wilson / Initial data collection has been completed at Rose in preparation for the November 4 training in the PDC. Late breaking news was that Eastwood is going to be able to participate after all. Their data collection process will occur on Monday, 11/2
Regional PBS Initiative Grant / Sam / Five Roseburg Schools (to be determined) are being invited to participate in the project. Sam provided details about the grant deliverables as well as benefits of participation – such as having conference tuitions covered for selected staff. Jolane has signed on and several people expressed interest on behalf of their schools.
PBS Matrix / Sam / Sam issued a reminder that Teams need to submit a list of their team members along with goals and activities for the 2009-2010 school year. These should be sent to Sam before next meeting.
Implementation Survey / Sam / Sam and Cory Dunn began the process of conducting interviews with administrators and PBS Team Facilitators to assess the level of implementation of PBS across the District. Sam will contact other schools to schedule their interviews in hopes of completing this process by next meeting. Results of this survey will help us determine which areas PBS/SWIS require additional training or support.
