Philip Newnes PGA Golf Professional

Philip Newnes Golf returns to the beautiful Hilton Head Island in 2018 for one of the favorite events on The Golf Butlers calendar. A wonderful opportunity for you to play one of the world’s most famous golf courses, Harbour Town Links and stay at the iconic of the Sea Pines Resort.

All this, together with walking the hallowed turf of the world’s most famous golf course

Augusta National in US Masters Week

This Event will give you the opportunity to enjoy some of South Carolina’s fabulous golf courses, where you will be able to soak up the fabulous Southern Hospitality both on and off the course. You can sharpen up your game by utilizing the fantastic practice facilities under the watchful eye of your very own PGA Golf Professional, before taking up the challenge of some of Hilton Head’s finest golf courses, including the spectacular USPGA Tour Venue, Harbour Town Links.

As part of a $80 Million investment in SeaPines Resort, Harbour Town Links has recently undergone re-modelling. This, on a course that was already rated the No.2 golf course on the USPGA Tour, as voted for by the USPGA Tour players themselves. The course reopened in September 2015 to rave reviews, leaving them confident of possibly taking the No.1 spot from none other than Augusta National itself.

Harbour Town Links hosts the Heritage Classic that follows the US Masters each year. This is the oldest Tournament on the USPGA Tour, first being played over this splendid course in 1969 and won by no other than Arnold Palmer. You will get to play HTL just 2 days prior to its closure for the 2018 event and as always, it will be in the most spectacular condition in preparation for the Tour’s arrival. Combine all the above with World Class accommodation at Sea Pines Resort, Hilton Head Island, SC.

Sea Pines is the No.1 Resort on Hilton Head Island. All our guests will be staying in premier positioned villas, less than a 2-minute walk from the 1st Fairway at Harbour Town Links and its fabulous Clubhouse. Just another couple of minutes’ walk you will find the Famous Red & White Lighthouse and its beautiful Marina surroundings.

Golf Courses

Harbour Town Links

This distinguished golf course places a premium on finesse, imagination and shot-making, rather than strength, making it a perennial favorite among PGA TOUR players. Put your game to the ultimate test against a unique collection of par 3s ranked among the World's finest and a par 4 18th hole considered one of the most feared in all of golf.

Atlantic Dunes

As the first course built on Hilton Head Island, the Ocean Course at The Sea Pines Resort embraces the authentic coastal golf experience. Exquisitely redesigned in 2016 by DAVIS Love 111, this breath-taking golf course boasts one of only two oceanfront holes on Hilton Head Island and cleverly poses delightful challenges for novices and veterans.

Heron Point

After a multimillion-dollar reconstruction project in 2007, The Sea Pines Resort is pleased to introduce its newest must-play course, Heron Point by Pete Dye. Designed by legendary course architect Pete Dye, Heron Point is nothing short of a modern work of art.

Sea Pines - The Premier Choice of Hilton Head Island Resorts

It may be just 45 minutes by car from Historic Savannah, Georgia, but Hilton Head is also a world away. With breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Calibogue sound, and nestled in the 5,000-acre Sea Pines community, The Sea Pines Resort has enthralled generations of travelers and guests for over 50 years. Now you are invited to become part of this legacy.

EXPERIENCING THE US MASTERS AT AUGUSTA

When you finally set foot in Augusta, the Golfers Heaven, you join a very elite club. It is the dream of keen golfers all around the world, but few have the privilege of walking witnessing the awesome beauty of The Augusta National Course during Masters Week.

Why Practice Day?

Quote by GBC Representative: -

"Having taken 1000's of golfers to Augusta during the whole of Masters Week over the years, I find that the very large majority prefer the experience of the Practice Days much more than the actual Competition Days themselves. What 99% of the people attending Augusta for the first time want more than anything is to see & walk the course itself, so they can witness it’s spectacular beauty, and drool over the unbelievable condition in which the Augusta National course is presented during US Masters Week”.

Practice Day offers visitors much more opportunity to explore the Augusta National as the rules on photography are relaxed, access to the course is far less restricted, and there is no need to spend hours and hours in queues. The whole atmosphere is more relaxed and visitors can also make a personal record of their attendance, by taking pictures of themselves, their friends and the course itself, while they soak up the experience of watching the Best players in the world (in a far more relaxed frame of mind than on competition days!) play the best presented Course in the World.

We will also give you details of how to access Founders Circle for the “must have” photo opportunity outside the Augusta Clubhouse - as well access to the stunning Par 3 course.

Practice Day is very different from competition days, when very strict rules are in place.

On Competition Days, there are restrictions on where and how you can walk around the Course, and there is strictly NO photography of any kind allowed. On Competition Days, the crowds also double in size, making it much more difficult to view the course itself.

Even though Merchandise Areas are still busy on the Practice Days, you will be able to get all the souvenirs you require without the hours and hours you can spend queuing on Competition Days.
