Volunteered to take on a full science teaching position for college bound high school seniors.Objective to teach students to develop the skill set needed to study comparative and functional anatomy by understanding of organismal form, function and diversity of vertebrate organ systems. Curriculum included anatomy of organs and organ systems in the human and animals, including the skeletal, muscle, senses, circulatory, digestive, respiratory, and nervous systems. Instructor’s responsible for teaching the year-long introduction anatomy included:

  • Implemented instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of presenting and reinforcing learning concepts to senior science majors in anatomy.
  • Preparing and grading examines, tests, quizzes, along with projects to reinforcing lecture material.

  • Conducted hands-on laboratory experiments to model the human organs and organ systems, which requires dissection of preserved, latex-injected specimens, and includes the human skeletal system.

Completed a one year co-teaching high school practicum at ClaremontAcademy to at first assist and observe my mentoring teacher in the first quarter and then take full responsibility for three class sections for the remainder of the school year. This course provides an introduction to biology appropriate for those interested in general biology, genetics, and cellular-level biology.
