Please visit the check-in table to confirm your arrival BEFORE BOARDING THE BUS. If you’re not checked in, departure may be delayed.

Week-end Trips: Due to building security and staffing restrictions, you should NOT expect to enter the Centralia Center building on the weekend. Parking - Weekday or Extended Day Trips: If you are physically able, please park near the far end of the lot, to allow adequate and convenient parking for daily program participants.

RESERVED SEATING

Front seats on both sides of the bus are reserved for the hostess, their guest, and trip materials. If a traveler provides a valid medical excuse from their doctor in advance, reserved seating may be arranged. If pre-arranged, a reserved seat sign may be placed on the designated seats.

PERSONAL CHECKLIST

Coolers (for medications, water, etc.) and Food/Restroom Stops:

a) Small coolers are allowed on the bus if they fit under the seat or in storage. b) If a food or restroom break is scheduled into the itinerary, it will likely be at a fast-food establishment or rest area (unless part of the itinerary). Those purchases are at your own expense. c) The bus driver and trip hostess will mutually agree upon the location of the stop, based on convenience and ease of bus maneuverability.

Gratuities and Storage Items:

Gratuities: In order to maintain consistent and reasonable trip pricing, the Lowell Center provides: a) A small gratuity to the Lamers’ Driver. If you are satisfied with the driver’s service and would like to supplement the tip, please feel free to do so as you exit the bus. b) A gratuity is NOT provided to the volunteer hostess; the same satisfaction rule would apply as to the driver. c) A standard tip is provided to the main venue unless otherwise noted.

Storage Items: If you bring along or purchase a large item during a trip, it must be stowed in the overhead compartment. If it does not fit in the overhead, it will be placed in the storage compartment below the bus for safety purposes. The Lowell Center is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Personal Amenities (Consider bringing a sweater, umbrella, deck of cards, small pillow, book, etc.):

We recommend dressing in layers as bus and venue temperatures will vary. Wear comfortable shoes if walking is involved and come prepared for all weather conditions -- rain or sun, warm or cold.

PLEASE RESPECT THE HOSTESS! We appreciate the time and generosity of our volunteer hostesses who work hard to offer a fun and carefree trip within their control. General comments, compliments, or concerns may be brought to the attention of the hostess. Complaints (and compliments) should be brought to the attention of Joan Kranig at 715-421-1051. The Lowell Center and the trip hostess reserve the right to coordinate and offer bingo on trips or other types of entertainment such as music, trivia, or movies. Participation in any of the entertainment offered is your choice and is not required.
