Hampshire Autism Strategy for Adults – Tell us what you think!

(The draft strategy refers to how young people with autism, from the age of 14,will be offered support as they move into adulthood)

Questionnaire

The Hampshire Autism Partnership Board (HAPB) wants people of all ages with autism to access the support services they need. The term ‘autism’ is used here to reflect the full spectrum and includes Aspergers Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, Pervasive Development Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder and all Autism Spectrum Conditions.

We listened to you via ‘Autism Participation – Have your say’, where parents, carers, siblings, people with autism and those working with people with autism told us what was working well and what was not working well for people with autism and their families in Hampshire. The ‘Autism Participation – Have your say’ Report can be found at this link:

We used the information from ‘Autism Participation – Have your say’, to write a draft Hampshire Autism Strategy for Adults. We are starting with the adult section of the strategy because the Autism Act has provided us guidance on how adults with autism can have better help to live happier lives. A draft Hampshire Autism Strategy for Children is being developed, and will be part of a future consultation.
