· Approved February 26, 2013 minutes
Ex-PTSA Report: Midge Harrington being honored with a Lifetime PTSA membership for her service, May 7 is “Meet the Candidates Night”, next meeting will vote in new positions and budgets.
Treasurer Report
· Current Status
· Budget for 2014-2015 school year – Passed (see attached)
· Need a Treasurer for ’14-’15
Review of PTSA Activities to Date
· Lifetouch Pictures Profit total - $4,820.78 (compared to $4,382.53 previous year)
· Box Top$ update $220.90 total
· Niagara Chocolate Sale dates: Sold $7980.00 Profit: $3990.00 Delivery was April 7th
· Teacher Appreciation Week – Luncheon Date May 7
· 2014 6th grade orientation – “Welcome Gift” and volunteers – STATUS ON HOLD
New PTSA Activities and Business
· Committee Reports
o Yearbook - on schedule & waiting for delivery date, cover for next year being designed, Lisa B. attended a workshop for yearbook, 4/30 mod. Sport pictures taken, 32 extra books to sell.
o 6th grade Pool Party – on schedule
o 7th grade – Civil War days: Gift Certificate to TOPS to pay for breakfast and salad. Parent volunteer letter and schedule reviewed.
o 8th grade MUD –Concern about drop off of 7th grade from field trip at 6pm. Could they be dropped off at another door? Principal and Asst. Principal there to help supervise and discipline.
· Incoming 6th grade class – purchasing supplies online through school (Dana Lamm): Concern about wanting PTSA to do refunds for USB drives. Agreed not to front the money requested do to several concerns. John Crangle will talk with Jen Giallella re: this because we all thought this was not happening. Will forward him Dana’s email.
· Welcome Back Staff Breakfast September 2014: Date to be determined and how to sign up parents for food donation discussed.
· Lifetouch Picture Days 2014-2015: Sept 8/9 Retake October 17
· 2014-2015 HMS PTSA positions/committee chairs – we have vacancies: Treasurer, Secretary, some committee chairs.
Principal Report: 8th grade student perception surveys were given and are being reviewed, working on status of 6th grade locker day and opening day 2014-2015
New Meeting Dates: Wednesday May 28 at 6pm. There is a 7th concert at 7pm. Last meeting of year.
