Hale Site Council Nomination Form

NOMINATION DEADLINE: Friday, April 20 at 3:00 p.m.

The Hale Site Council is a group of parents and staff working together to ensure the continued success of Hale School. Members are elected to serve a two-year term. The council is informed of and offers advisement to influence decisions regarding school curriculum, annual budget, new programs, and more. The council communicates regularly with the school community about school-based decisions and works to understand the needs of the community, both within the school and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Any parent or guardian of a student who will be attending Hale during the 2018-2019 school year is eligible to serve on the Hale Site Council. You can nominate yourself or another person (please let the individual you are nominating know prior to the nomination).

General Duties

  • Regularly attend monthly site council meetings (meetings typically occur during business hours from3:30-5:00 p.m. or 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Hale School)
  • Actively participate in discussions related to budget, curriculum, and school climate
  • Be a resource to other parents who have questions about Hale School’s policies

Membership

The Hale Site Council is made up of 6 Hale parents/guardians, 7 Hale staff members, 1 community representative from the neighborhood association (HPDL), 1 representative from the Welcoming Equity (WE) Committee, and 1 PTA representative. There are 3 open parent/guardianpositions for the 2018-2019 school year.

To nominateyourself or someone else, please complete the form on Page 2, and return it to the Site Council mailbox in the Hale office. You can also e-mail the information to prior to the deadline. The information provided on applications will be provided to the Hale parent community for online voting.

The nomination deadline is Friday, April 20 at 3:00 p.m.
