The Gallstone Clinic at the Royal Free Hospital, has started a one stop gallstone service at the Hadley Wood Hospital, which will provide an efficient and fast diagnosis, an improved triage system so that we triage our patients according to complexity of care, ensure that the treatment is delivered in the most appropriate settings according to complexity, reduce waiting times and improve overall patient experience.

The Hadley Wood Hospital is run by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust (RFL) and combines the convenience, comfort and personalised attention of a private hospital with state of the art, technology and the professional excellence you would expect from a top London teaching hospital. It is conveniently situated off Barnet High Street.

Please be assured that you will remain under the care of the Royal Free Hospital as an NHS patient and will receive your treatment from your NHS Consultant who will travel to Hadley Wood to carry out your consultation / procedure on the day.

In order to perform your procedure at the Hadley Wood Hospital we will need to share your medical records with the Hadley Wood Hospital staff. Your personal information will be handled in a secure and confidential manner fully compliant with NHS Information Governance Standards.

About Hadley Wood Hospital

Hadley Wood is the Royal Free’s London Private Patients Unit based in Barnet , offering eight consulting rooms, a minor treatment room, a dentistry room, an endoscopy suite, a radiology suite and two day case theatres, we will be able to provide the very best environment to ensure that patients experience the world class care that is synonymous with the Royal Free London Hospital. You will have all the facilities of a private hospital while still being treated as a NHS patient and by your consultant.

The hospital is based off Barnet High Street and is a 10 minute walk from Barnet Hospital, close to all means of public transport.

Tube Stations
High Barnet tube station is located within 10 – 15 minutes walking distance of the hospital (Branch of the Northern Line).

Parking Information

There is one disabled bay on site at Hadley Wood Hospital, and more street parking immediately opposite the hospital.

The cost for parking (for those without a disabled badge) in these bays is £1.00 for 30 mins, £2.00 for up to 1 hour, £4.00 for up to 3 hours, £7.00 over 3 hours. Please note that payment for parking is done by phone only no cash payment

Moxon Street does have a pay and display public car park which is a 5 minute downhill walk from the hospital. Car park fees are £2.50 for up to 4 hours and payment is by debit or credit card. We have been instructed that should you wish to park for longer pay by card in the first instance; then remove the parking ticket from car and pay for remaining time by telephone.

Fitz John Avenue, off the High Street by the Red Lion Stonehouse Restaurant is a pay and display car park, car park fees £3.95 for the day if paying by debit or credit card/ payment id you are paying by phone the fee would be £4.05.
