PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS:

Print odd pages 1st, then flip pages over (bottom to top) with the backside of page 1 facing up so page 2 prints on back of page 1 first. Now print even pages. This should put page 2 on the backside of page 1. Cut the 8.5 x 11 pages in half to form a book.

Activate a Flight Plan (FPL)

  1. Menu
  2. Activate FPL
  3. ENTER

Create Flight Plan (FPL)

  1. FPL Btn, Present location start pt.;
  2. Press Sm Kb to highlight 1st WPT; Sm Kb chara, Lg Kb Position to spell WPT
  3. ENTER to accept WPT, enter next WPT
  4. Stepts 2 – 3 to enter more WPT’s
  5. Press Sm Kb to un-highlight when finished.
  6. FPL now active

Save (Copy)of a Flight Plan (FPL)

  1. Show FPL
  2. Menu Btn, select Copy, ENTER

Delete WPT’s in FPL

  1. Press Sm Kb to high-light; Lg Kb to select WPT to delete
  2. Press CLR Btn to delete WPT.

Display Active FPL or Stored FPL’s

  1. Press FPL Btl – shows active FPL and FPL page
  2. Sm Kb Cw to display Stored FPL’S, Lg Kb selects FPL
  3. Activate FPL, Menu Btn, ENTER
  4. Return to Map, Press CLR Btn

Edit or insert a WPT in a FPL

  1. See Display Active FPL. Press Sm Kb to highlight
  2. Lg Kb to scroll WPT’S, Insert takes place above current WPT
  3. Sm Kb for 1st chara. Lg Kb for position, ENTER inserts WPT
  4. Press Sm Kb to un-highlight when finished

View Flight Plan Timer

  1. Lg Kb CW 2 clks to Aux page and press Sm Kb to highlight
  2. Enter selects Start/Stop in each timer, Lg Kb selects timer
  3. Sm Kb selects Pwr On or GS > 30 kts operation

View Present Position

  1. Show Nav on display
  2. Sm Kb CW to page 4 and view Present Position

Show Map on display

  1. Press Clr Btn for 2 sec to show Nav.
  2. Sm Kb CW one clk to page two

Display Terrian on Map

1.Display Nav; Sm Kb CW two clks to page 3. Terrian Red, Yellow

Mark Present Location

  1. Display Nav, press Sm Kb to display arrow pointer
  2. Sm Kb CW pointer Up, Sm Kb CCW pointer Down

Lg Kb CW pointer rt, Lg Kb CCW pointer left

  1. Pointer location, not over object, indicated by upper screen data
  2. ENTER; to creat WPT. Lg Kb CCW to WPT name. Sm & Lg Kb create WPT name.

Identify Arrow Pointer over Object

1.Follow Mark Present Location steps 1 – 3. Move pointer over an Object. Press ENTER. Select Object. Review Airspace ENTER. Read data then press ENTER when Done

ViewAirport under Arror Pointer

  1. See “Identify Arrow Pointer over Object”. Move arrow over Apt
  2. Press ENTER, Press Sm Kb for “Done” off. Use Sm Kb CW to view other info on Object or Airport.
  3. Press Clr Btn to return to Map.
  4. Press Sm Kb to remove arrow.

Note: Arrow over Object gives bearing and Distance from Aircraft

DeClutter Map

1.Each time Clr Btn is pushed declutter removes one of three levels of clutter until all objects (levels) are removed and then full clutter again.

Nearest (Pages within)

1st – Nearest

2nd– NDB

3rd – VOR

4th – USR

5th – ARTCC

6th – FSS

7th – Nearest Airspace

View Current FPL from Map screen

1.Press FPL Btn

Create a User WPT using Lat/Long

  1. Lg Kb CW to WP page; Sm Kb CW to Modify, last page
  2. Press Sm Kb to highlight User name; Sm Kb chara, Lg Kb position and spell name.
  3. Lg Kb CW to position (Lat/Long). Sm Kb CW one Clk to acceps N.
  4. Lg Kb CW position, :Sm Kb for chara (No.)
  5. ENTER when finished, ENTER again to Create
  6. Press Sm Kb to un-highlight.

View a list of User WPT’s

  1. From Nav turn Lg Kb CW to WPT page
  2. Sm Kb CW to user WPT’s.
  3. Press Menu key, ENTER to select list of WPT’s.
  4. Delete User WPT’s with CLR Btn

Note: Can view WPT’s, Nearest then page 5

Delete User WPT’s from list

  1. See View a list of User WPT’s.
  2. Select User WPT with Lg & Sm Kb and press CLR Btn
  3. Sm Kb to un-highlight
  4. Note: Can only delete WPT’s not in FLP’s

View a User WPT

  1. See View a List of User WPT’s
  2. Highlight User WPT, then ENTER

View Nearest Airport

1.Press NRST Btn and view Airports. Also Lg Kb CW three Clks

Direct to Nearest Airport

1.Press NRST Btn and press Sm Kb and then press Direct To (D ----)

2.Press ENTER to select
