  1. In hand Open Youngstock, 1, 2 and 3yr old. Colt, filly or gelding. Any bred/type.
    Colts to be shown in a suitable bridle in guidance with their respective breed rules.
  1. In Hand Novice Pony/horse. Not to have won more than two 1st prizes in any in hand showing before the 1st Jan 2016. This class is open to all breeds and types.
  1. In hand Veteran. 15 yrs + open to all breeds.
  1. Mountain & Moorland:
    Open to In Hand Mountain & Moorland ponies of ANY AGE registered with their respective Pure Bred societies Of Welsh A, B, C and D, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Fell, Dales, Highland, New Forest, Connemara. Stallion, Mare, Colt, Filly or Gelding

In hand Championship. 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 1 - 4

  1. In hand Coloured and Odd Coloured. Piebald skewbald Palominos Duns Roans paints and spots. Open to Horses and ponies of all ages. And all types
  1. In hand Rare and Foreign Bred of any age.
    This is also open to Arabs. And Rare and Foreign Part breds. Eg Exmoor, Fell, Suffolk Punch, Shire, Hackney, Cleveland Bay, Haflinger, Andalusian, Trekener, Fresian, Fjord etc
  1. In Hand Black, Bays, Greys & Chestnut. of any age and height.
  1. In hand Miniature Pony. Any Age
  1. Long Reining – Open to Horses and ponies, to be Long Reined. Will require a short display. Consisting of walk, trot and halt.

RIDDEN CLASSES

STARTING AT 9am

Ring 2 – Surface Arena: Judge: TBC

  1. Lead rein and first ridden. Open to all breeds. First ridden riders 12 years old and under. To be shown in any suitable bridle. Lead to be attached to the noseband. Lead rein ridders 9 years old and under. Class will be split if entries warrant.
  2. 28. Ridden Cob, Open to Hogged and traditional, 4 years and over
  3. 29. Ridden Black, Greys, Bays and Chestnut. Open to all types, 4 years old and over, lead rein permitted
  4. Ridden Performance/ Competiton Horse/pony. 4 Yr old and Over. Open to all breeds. Designed for Horses and Ponies bred for showing purpose i.e Driving, Show jumping, Endurance, Dressage etc

23. Concours D’Elegance Ridden , Horses and ponies 4 years and over, Lead Rein Permitted

Ridden Championship. Open to 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 19 - 24

24. Novice Ridden Horse and Pony. Open to Horses and ponies of 4 yrs and over. Not to have won more than two 1 st prizes in any Ridden showing before the 1st Jan 2016. No Lead Rein

25. Walk and Trot Horse and Pony. Open to Horses and Ponies of 3 yrs and over. Lead Rein Permitted

26. Veteran ridden. 15+ years. Open to all breeds including lead rein

27. OPEN RIDDEN MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND BREEDS. Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Bred Societies of, Welsh, A, B, C and D, Exmoor, Dartmoor and Shetland, Highland, Fells, Dales, New Forest. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Rider any age. Lead Rein permitted. Class may be split if entries warrant.

28. Ridden Foreign and Rare Breeds This is also open to Arabs. And Rare and Foreign Part breds. Eg Exmoor, Fell, Suffolk Punch, Shire, Hackney, Cleveland Bay, Haflinger, Andalusian, Trekener, Fresian, Fjord etc

29. Ridden Coloured and Odd Coloured Horse and Pony. Including Piebald, Skewbald, Duns, Palominos, Roans. Lead rein permitted in this class.

  • RULES
  • No horse under 4 to be ridden unless stated
  • All riders must be 3 years and over unless otherwise stated: Tiny tots allowed in fun classes
  • Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead
  • No mucking out on the showground
  • Please clear up your own litter
  • No stallion or colts to be handled by anyone under the age of 14
  • Please keep young children supervised at all times
  • The judge’s decision is final
  • All complaints must be made in writing to the secretary on the day of the show together with £25. This will be refunded if the complaint is upheld.
  • All persons mounted must wear hard hats, anyone seen not doing so may be asked to leave the showground
  • Please remain in the place where you are parked, do not move your vehicle during the day unless it is to leave the showground.
  • No schooling whips to be used in the ring.
  • Anyone seen using excessive whips, spurs or mistreating their horse or pony will be asked to leave the showground with immediate effect.
  • We reserve the right to reject any entry prior to or on the day and will not enter into any correspondence into the rejection
  • All horses and ponies to be kept under control at all times
  • Abuse at organisers and fellow competitors will not be tolerated. This may result in your being asked to leave the showground and refused entry from future events

We will not hold classes due to clashes unless it is beyond the organizers control

Please watch your ring so you know when your classes will be happening

Please enter classes in the spirit they are intended: if you pony is NOT a novice and enters a novice class and we are made aware, this could result in you being asked to leave the show ground
