CM holds one-to-one meetings with

leading industrialists in Mumbai

Gujarat is the global hub for industrial development: Vijay Rupani

Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today organized one-to-one meetings and interaction sessions with leading industrial – business leaders in Mumbai with a view to discuss key features of the forthcoming Vibrant Summit – 2017.

With welcoming the industrial and business leaders to participate in Vibrant Gujarat Summit-2017, Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat is the best choice for investment for the industrialists due to its best atmosphere, start-up policy, infrastructural facilities and skilled youth.

Mr. Rupani held one-to-one meetings with the leading business leaders such as Mr. Ratan Tata of Tata Sons, Mr. Adi Godrej of Godrej Industries, Mr. Uday Kotak of Kotak Mahindra, Mr. Dilip Sanghvi of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Mr. B. K. Goenka of Welspun, Mr. Ravi Ruia of Essar Group, Chairman of Reliance Industries Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Energy Ltd. Mr. Anil Ambani and other industrialists and briefed them about encouraging approach for industries in Gujarat.

After organizing one-to-one meetings, in his address Mr. Rupani said that since Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has initiated the series of Vibrant Summit, India and Gujarat have gained world-wide reputation. As many as 10 countries would be partner-country in upcoming Vibrant Gujarat-2017. We have invited global delegation and we are expecting about 110 foreign delegations’ participation in the summit.

A new policy is being prepared to motivate industries in Gujarat. With expressing his faith and said that Aero-space (defense) and Health Policy will provide new opportunity to establish industry in Gujarat. And Gujarat will become a global hub for industrial development. The State Government is going forward in direction of coastal economic zone, so that wide spectrum of developmental opportunities of its 1600 kms long coastal area can be provided. In this context he said that Hon’ble Prime Minister has initiated the Sagarmala project to thrive industry-business in coastal sector of the nation. Neeti Aayog has given priority to begin coastal economic zones in coastal areas of western region of the nation and Gujarat is well equipped, he added.

Gujarat has made unique initiative with the vision of Make-in-India, Digital India and Start-up India which have been launched by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for development of the nation. Gujarat has positive atmosphere with skilled youth, peace, security and the best infrastructural facilities etc. Investment in aero-space (defense) sector is also going to come in Gujarat and various MOUs will also be signed in Vibrant Summit, he added.

He invited all of them to witness developmental ability of Gujarat and be part of extensive cooperation in industry-business in the state.

Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh said that along with good governance, transportation and human development, various opportunities are there for industrial development in Gujarat. Even villages are well-equipped with facilities and we invite all to establish industries in Gujarat. Additional Chief Secretary to Industries and Mines Department Mr. P. K. Taneja said that Gujarat is at the leading place in about 15 manufacturing sector covering under Make-in India. Gujarat has as many as 48 ports and leading in chemicals and petro-chemicals sector. Gujarat is ahead in cotton and textile sectors as well.

On the occasion, Minister of State for Industries and Mines Department Mr. Rohit Patel, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Secretaries Ms. D. Thara, Mr. Sujit Gulati, Mr. Ajay Bhadoo, Ms. Mamata Verma, other higher authorities and dignitaries were remained present.
