Banking– Junior Internship

In an effort to streamline the recruiting process for both candidates and employers recruiting at Emory University, the Emory Career Center and the Goizueta Business School Career Management Center have partnered to create the below guidelines and recommendations.

Guiding Principles for Recruiters

  1. Follow the below timelineto ensure a fair and equitable process for both employers and candidates
  2. Advise candidates of their responsibility in the recruitment process
  3. Allow candidates the opportunity to take 2 weeks to decide upon an offer once received

Important Information

  • The Emory Career Center has eight interview rooms, which limits the number of employers who are able to come to campus at the same time.
  • First round interview dates will be scheduled in the order in which they are received. Second round interview dates will be accommodated if possible, but priority will be given to employers scheduling to come to campus for first round interviews. The Career Center will try to accommodate second round interviews if space permits.

SPRING 2017

April 10 / Employers may begin scheduling on-campus interviews and information sessions; submission forms will open at 9:00am EST.
April 24 / Approval for OCI and information session requests begin; requests will be processed in the order in which they were received.

FALL 2017

Aug 23 / Classes Begin
Aug 30 / Information Sessions Begin
Sept 20-21 / Rosh Hashanah, Information Sessions CLOSED
Sept 21-22 / Rosh Hashanah, On-campus interviews CLOSED
Sept 25 / First day of on-campus interviews for banking internships; on-campus interviews for banking internships will not be held prior to Sept 25.
Sept 25, 26, 27, 28 / BANKING INTERNSHIP INTERVIEW DAYS: Targeted on campus interview dates. The Career Center discourages banks from scheduling super days on these specific dates to ensure a fair and equitable process for both employers and candidates.
Oct 9-10 / Fall Break – On-Campus Interviews and Information Sessions CLOSED
Nov 23-24 / Thanksgiving Break – On-Campus Interviews and Information Sessions CLOSED
Dec 4 / Last Day of Information Sessions
Dec 5 / Last Day of Class and Last Day of On-Campus Interviews
