For noting –
- Depending on the type of expenditure, certain items purchased and funded through professional development grants associated with DAP, Director of Portfolio and ACA appointments, may attract taxation. Accordingly it is strongly advised that all expenditure associated with professional development grants be discussed with Finance (Taxation Accountant) before expenditure is committed.
- Deans are expected to discuss workload (in consultation with School Workload Committee guidelines). The role of DAP and ACA should be clearly articulated in the academic’s career development plan.
- There is a need to recognise the role of professional staff in providing all but complex academic advice to students.
- DAP, Director of Portfolio and ACA appointments are for a three (3) year period
- Recruitment
It is noted that some Schools are progressing through internal expressions of interest and others are progressing via e-recruit system to appoint to these roles. Either process is acceptable however for Schools progressing via internal EOI, please ensure all paperwork is forwarded to the Recruitment Team for official records purposes.
