Guidelines for use of the University of West London online logo

Please note none of this can be distributed at large around the University.
It should only be passed on to colleagues who need this to directly work on for the rolling out and implementation of the new brand.

Guidelines for use of attachments sent to you:

1.  Logo – UWL.gif

Please note:

·  this is the online version of the new logo only and should not be used for print – there is a completely different version / resolution for print. (Contact Marketing if needed)

·  this is to be used at this size only (not made any larger or smaller)

·  the logo must be used in full and not just part of it e.g. if you need us to look at running this across the top of the page and mocking up something specific on this, please let us know.

If the logo sent does not ‘fit’ the space that you have for it to be used on, please let us know and we will re-send it with a canvas background to make sure that it is not stretched at all.

Alternative uses for logo for squared spaces, e.g. FaceBook and for sub-brand versions of the logo – please contact us.

2.  Brand guideline PDF files

·  attached are references for positioning for ref of the logo and also image use / colour palette refs to use

·  positioning - there should be a minimum of 8px to the left of the logo for spacing. There should also be spacing around the logo so this is not squashed against other elements on the page. See main site guide rules for external website as reference.

·  for the colour palette refs provided, only the primary logo colours (the x4 running along the top) should be used.

3.  Style (house style) guide and search and replace spreadsheet guidelines.

·  Please use this as reference for use of the new name and how to display contact details etc. Please note that the use of the new University name in full is to be used instead of the abbrev UWL, with the exception of e-mail and web addresses. Any reference in the body text / copy needs to have the name in full.
