- Recap of DO efforts to move DIE from academic to classified position
- A&R and Financial Aid had similar experience (Tillberg), prevailing issues is that Deans need to supervise faculty
- Harbor and East Dean of Institutional Advancement title appears misleading
- Degree to which DIE supervises faculty varies campus to campus. Most often involved in accreditation and SLO initiatives
- Luis request duties of deans at each campus and shared governance committee standings for each DIE
- Spring meeting with DIEs across district TBD for spring
- DRC to provide Luis with comparison of Dean/Director of IE roles from CCCs across socal
- Agenda approved with the addition of “Spring 2015” and “PeopleSoft recap” to the end
- Minutes from 11/26/2014 approved (question on item 13)
- Skill certificates not reliably entered into DEC across campuses but are not printed on transcript if not state approved/not included in ARC reporting
- Some low unit skill awards (<18 units) may be approved by CCCO but may still not be posted on transcripts
- Documentation of meetings
- Previous minutes from Rebecca and Rhea have all been sent to Ani
- Getting minutes posted on created district IE webpage is still in-process
- Exploration of Cathy’s archived emails may glean more past minutes. Sarah C. to explore possibility
- Software
- Rebecca and Ana to develop Brio training for DRC
- Maury developing EMSI (3+ hours) training, possibly in January after usual DRC meeting
- Each campus to be working on compiling course list for offered programs to create master ed plans in People Soft
- Student Survey Update
- Scanning of raw data nearly complete.
- Outstanding may be included manually
- Accreditation Update
- Board IE committee doing mock visits to campuses (West, SW, Harbor) so far. Planning to visit Mission and Valley
- Scorecard-First Generation Students
- MIS to begin including FG students in scorecard
- FG status is defined as a student where neither parent has college/above high school graduation experience
- Data element became mandatory in 2012 for reporting but applicants are not obligated to answer parents’ education level
- Percent of FG students will be included in scorecard 2015
- Gainful Employment
- No campus updates from last DRC
- IE Committee Presentations
- Mission, SW, West recently presented college plans to IE committee of BoT
- Committee received info on differences between SMP, EMP, SEqP
- Moon to clarify should printed copies of presentations be prepared by college beforehand.
- Achieving the Dream Conference
- Feb in Baltimore
- Valley not sending contingent
- Spring 2015 Enrollment
- New and re-enrolling students can’t enroll until 12/22. Previously could enroll 12/9 if AOC complete
- FTE_RDB useful to detail headcount by student status (new, returning, high school, etc)
- Conflict with campus academic calendars and calendar prepared by DO of registration start dates for new, continuing, and returning students
- 4 registration groups in board rules/DO calendar vs. 7 groups utilized by campus
- SEq Plan Update
- Need to mail a signed hardcopy in addition to emailing a copy to Debra Sheldon by Jan 21st
