Dear Team Leader,

Thank you for agreeing to work in DiscipleNow ‘07 this year! I am so excited to have you as part of the TEAM! Enclosed, you will find a detailed job description of what I'd like to have you and your team accomplish. If you have any questions, please contact me immediately as time is quickly passing!

As I stated on the phone, I would like for you to have at least four additional team members enlisted (of your choosing). As you can see, however, much of the work needs to be done before that date. Therefore, if you could enlist your team members sooner, we'll be better off! REMEMBER, as soon as you enlist your workers, contact me with their names and phone numbers.

Again, let me say "thank you.” YOU will play a tremendously important role in this ministry event! Remember, if you don't get your task done, it won't get done! So take the challenge and run with it! I am convinced that you have what it takes to get the job done!

Your friend,

Youth Pastor

Dear Host Homes,

Thank you for opening your home to the youth of (CHURCH NAME). I know the students will be blessed by being in your home and in your company.

Enclosed you will find some guidelines for Host Homes. Please read them carefully. If you have any questions please give me a call or email me.

You are invited to a DiscipleNow 2007 Leader reception, Thursday, March 15, 6:00pm, in the Youth Room. There will be light refreshments as we make final preparation for the weekend.

Passionately His,

Youth Pastor

SIX GUIDELINES FOR HOST FAMILIES OF DiscipleNow ‘07

  1. BE SURE, AT THE BEGINNING OF THE WEEKEND, THAT YOU MAKE ANY

HOUSE RULES THAT YOU WANT FOLLOWED BY THE GROUP TO BE MADE KNOWN TO THE GROUP WHICH WILL BE IN YOUR HOME.Such information may have to do with rooms where eating is permitted and not permitted, bathrooms to be used, instructions about bathing/hot water and any other information that is important to you to be communicated. Please feel comfortable enforcing these rules so that your leader does not have to do so. Remain dressed appropriately around the kids!

  1. PLEASE VISIT WITH YOUR GUEST LEADER ANDWORK OUT AN AGREEMENT

REGARDING YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN THE SESSIONS DURING THE WEEKEND. In some groups, it will be very natural for you to participate. In other groups, it may be best for no other adults to be present or to be present only during certain sessions. You are encouraged to participate at the DiscipleNow ‘07 recreation; mission opportunity on Saturday; concert and rally on Saturday night; and the Sunday Morning Sunday School Rally. Please be flexible. You are not the time monitor. If the leader takes more time with a session, that’s OK. If they take less, that’s OK too.

  1. PLEASE PROVIDE A SEPARATE ROOM FOR YOUR LEADER TO SLEEP AWAY

FROM THE REST OF THE GROUP.Having a separate room will provide a place of quietness and privacy. It will allow your Leader to be fresh and rested to lead the sessions with the group in your home.

  1. PLEASE PRAY, BY NAME, EVERY DAY FOR THE LEADER WHICH WILL BE IN YOUR HOME. Remember that God wants to do great things in your home. Pray also for your own family relationships so that the Lord will bless others through your life and home.
  1. PLEASE HELP TO SEE THAT YOUR GROUP IS ON TIME FOR ALL OF

THE ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEKEND. Those activities may be found on the Guest Leader schedule that is a part of this booklet. You are not the “time” police for beginning and ending times for sessions. Please allow flexibility for the group leader.

  1. Please ensure schedules are posted; evaluations are filled out and turned in to you. Please place evaluations on the Youth Pastor’s desk on Sunday morning at the Sunday School rally.

DiscipleNow ‘07

C0-HOST/SPONSOR GUIDE

  1. Take charge as you see necessary! You are not a dictator—

However, there must be boundaries set in each home!

  1. You are free to be involved in each session, recreation, etc... Be guarded with your input in sessions. Do not take over or control the group in any way. Your ministry is important!!
  1. There will be NO toilet papering allowed! Anyone seen outside a Host Home past midnight will be sent home--no questions asked and no excuses will be accepted! THIS RULE IS NOT TO BE BROKEN IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM! A sponsor should show his allegiance to the rules and regulations of the Youth Ministry!
  1. Car keys and cell phones should be taken from the students and placed in a secure location.
  1. You are a co-minister with the Minister to Youth...you are an

extension of the youth minister! Help us out in any and every
