Fourth Greater Manchester Autumn Meet - 2015
The three local Associations in the Greater Manchester area would invite you and your swimmers to Wigan Life Centre, College Avenue, Wigan WN1 1NJ on Saturday and Sunday 26/27 September and 17/18 October 2015 for the Greater Manchester Autumn Meet.
This Autumn Meet will be used to select the two teams to represent Bolton and Manchester Swimming Associations; and Central Lancs at the Inter-Association meet at Wigan Life Centre on 22 November 2015. We have included a question on the Individual Entry Form for the swimmer to indicate if they are willing to swim at Wigan if chosen. We will therefore require copies of the Individual Entry Forms for us to be able to contact them if chosen.
An entry form is enclosed, please photocopy as required and distribute to your swimmers. Electronic entry forms are available on the website www.mdswpa.org.uk for individual swimmers so they can be completed by the swimmers and returned electronically to the Club’s Competition Secretary.
The Sportsystem Entry Manager V2 and the Entry File (if needed) are available on the website www.mdswpa.org.uk/general/DownloadForms.htm or the Entry File is attached to the e-mail. Details of how to load it are given at the end of this package but if you run into trouble do not hesitate to contact David Hoskins.
At the conclusion of completing your entries we only require the export file from Sportsystem to be sent by e-mail. The Competition Secretary’s Club Entry Form, the swimmer’s Individual Entry Forms and Club Cheque to be sent by ordinary mail – all to arrive by the Closing Date.
If your club is affiliated to more than one association please enter which association you wish to enter via. This may affect which team your swimmers, if invited, would swim for at the Inter-Association.

General Information 2015
1 The Promoter of this event is Bolton & District S & WPA; Manchester & District S & WPA and Central Lancashire S &WPA
2 The event is licensed by the ASA at Licence Level 3 for entry into County and Regional Competitions and will be a Short Course event.
3 The competition will be held under ASA Laws & ASA Technical Rules.

5 Dates: 26/27 Sep and 17/18 Oct 2015
6 ENTRY FEE £3.50 per event.
7 All Entries to: As per 2015 Club Entry Form.
8 Closing Date for Entries: 7 September 2015. NO LATE ENTRIES ACCEPTED
9 All entrants must be a member of an affiliated club to either Bolton & District S&WPA or Manchester & District S&WPA or Central Lancashire S & WPA and registered with the ASA at Category 2 for that club...
10 The promoter reserves the right to return entries if events are oversubscribed by reducing the consideration time or by any other method thought appropriate. Entries will be considered from swimmers who meet the consideration times.
11 Entries from registered Disability Swimmers are welcome and these swimmers are not required to meet the general consideration times but must, however, meet the Disability Times for ASA County/Open Meet as listed for this meet on the Manchester & District website at www.mdswpa.org.uk/general/DownloadForms.htm
12 A totally cardless system will be used. After the closing date for entries confirmation of entry will be posted on the website and in addition the Competition Secretaries will receive, by e-mail, confirmation of which events their club’s swimmers are swimming plus details of how to withdraw from an event should the need arise. In the event of any rejections full refunds for rejected events will be paid back via the club.
13 All events will be seeded on submitted times and all events will be Heat Declared Winner.
14 Swimmers must report to the Competitors Stewards when instructed to do so. Any swimmer not reporting in time may be excluded.
15 The promoters reserve the right in the interests of time to operate ‘OVER THE TOP’ starts.
16 Results sheets will be posted in a position where spectators and swimmers can see the final positions for each event. One the days of competition it is hoped to display the Heat Start Lists and Results in “Real Time” on the website www.mdswpa.org.uk
17 No Coach/Team Manager will be allowed on poolside unless they are in possession of a Coach's Pass which must be applied for at the time of submitting the Entries. Any number of Passes may be purchased and they will be valid only for the day and date specified. The Pass may be transferred to another Coach/Team Manager during the day. Anyone not displaying a valid Pass will be asked to leave the Poolside. The payment for the Pass will entitle the holder to a Programme for the day plus a Heat Start List for the Sessions on that day.
18 The Awards shall be based on the following age groups:-
10 years
11 and 12 years
13 and 14 years
15 and over
The Ages are as at 31 Dec 2015
19 The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed swimmers in each group will receive an award.
20 The promoters reserve the right to refuse admission to any person.
21 Any situation not covered by the above information or Meet Conditions will be at the discretion of the promoters, who also reserve the right to make any changes that may be considered necessary for the smooth running and discipline of the event.
22 The Small Pool at Wigan Life Centre will be available before and during each session for continuous warm up and warm down, however, in the event of mis-use of this facility, the Wigan Life Centre reserve the right to close it at any time.
Inter-Association Meet Information
1. The meet is by invitation only and will take place at Wigan Life Centre, College Avenue, Wigan WN1 1NJ on 22 Nov 2015.
2. Two teams are to be selected – one for Bolton and Manchester and one for Central Lancs.
3. A swimmer may only be selected and swim for one team. There is an IA limit of 5 swims per swimmer at the Inter-Association
4. The Age Limit for the Inter-Association will be 14 and under as at 31 December 2015.
