The Position:
Neighborhood Health Centeris currently hiring for a full time Comptroller. The Comptroller would work under the supervision of our Chief Financial Officer. The primary responsibilities for this midlevel management position will includesupervising the quality of accounting and financial reporting at Neighborhood Health Center. Under the direction of the CFO, the Comptroller will assist with as well as oversee the preparation of financial reports, records, general ledger; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Examples of the typical day to day responsibilities include:
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
- Answers accounting and financial questions through research and data interpretation
- Monthly Profit and Loss reporting including variances
- Creating monthly depreciation schedules
- Daily cash reconciliation and deposit creation for all NHC locations
- Assist with Accounts payable purchases and disbursements entry in the General Ledger
- Reconcile benefit invoices with employee deductions
- Provide recommendations from process optimization and strategic planning
Qualifications and Skills:
- 4 year accounting degree
- CPA a plus
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Mastery of excel and database programs required. Experience with Sage Accounting Software, ADP required - Allscripts PM and Attendance Enterprise experience a plus
- Health care / primary care / medical office experience is ideal
- Previous experience managing and developing staff is preferred
