Other than the items from the regular packing list, I recommend carrying the following items, too:

Nail clippers (for breaking zip ties)

Extra plug adapters (for those who forget)

Laptop and/or card reader (to download pictures)

Birthday candles, matches, and birthday cards (in case you have a birthday on tour)

Power Strip (to power multiple devices)

Small gifts from your state for the Tour Director (I often bring Moravian cookies and a calendar

from North Carolina)

Ziploc bags of varying sizes (you just never know what you might need these for!)

Download Viber app and encourage group to use it to text and call when on wireless

-Ibuprofen

-Zyrtec (generic forms at Sam’s or Costco are Cetirizine---and much cheaper)

-gauze in a roll

-medical tape

-Coban wrap (self-adhering elastic support wrap)

-Ace bandage

-instant ice pack

-alcohol wipes (great for insect bites; poison ivy—dries it right out)

-Desityn (diaper rash cream—great for heat rash)

-Tums chews

-Dulcolax

-Prescription medication for nausea (Phenergan or Zofran)—get parent permission
