ADMITTING

Position: PATIENT REGISTRAR CLERK

Status: Part Time

Hours: Varied

Responsible for accurately registering & pre-registering patients for care at GRMC. A detail oriented person with some medical background and computer entry experience desired. Medical Terminology is required. The successful applicant will demonstrate GRMC’s values of integrity, cooperative spirit, innovation & compassionate service. HOME HEALTH & HOSPICE

Position: REGISTERED NURSE

Status: Full Time

Hours: Days with on call

The Registered Nurse will work primarily hospice with some home health visits as needed. Must be very flexible, organized, and compassionate. Must be highly motivated to work with the patients, families, and teams in home health and hospice. Will work with Hospice and Home Care Team to develop and provide nursing assessments and care plans. Must have 5 years nursing experience, preferred experience in Hospice or Home Health. Must be independent and efficient in skilled procedures such as IV, catheter, and wound care. Must be willing and able to take call within rotation. Must have strong computer skills and be willing to learn Home Care system (Allscripts). Understands the hospice and home care philosophy.

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

Position: NURSE TECHNICIAN (NT 5 & 7)

Status: 2 Full Time

Hours: 1 Varied (7pm- 7am, 7am – 7pm), 1 Nights (7pm – 7am)

Assists the Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, & evaluating nursing care for patients within the Intensive Care Unit as directed by the medical staff following the policies & procedures of GRMC.Certified Nursing Assistant, Competent with 120 - 155 hour Nurse Aide Certification. Previous acute care experience preferred.

Position: REGISTERED NURSE

Status: 2 Full Time (RN-2 & 3)

Hours: 1 Varied (7pm- 7am, 7am – 7pm) 1 Nights (7pm – 7am)

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate & provide nursing care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit as directed by the medical staff following the policies & procedures of GRMC. The RN will guide & supervise nursing personnel, collaborate with other health care professionals, & coordinate ancillary staff. Must be the graduate of an accredited nursing program and possess a current Iowa Registered Nurse license. One year of critical care experience preferred. Requires Critical Care Course (minimum of 80 hours), PALS and TNCC completion within the first year of employment.

LABORATORY

Position: LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Status: Full Time

Hours: Varied

Will work as a generalist in the hospital laboratory in all areas of the department including: hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, blood bank. Will be required to work with various computer systems for testing, reporting, looking up information etc. Proficient phlebotomy skills also required. May be required to rotate shifts along with current staff to cover schedule in a 24/7 laboratory. Graduate of an approved school of laboratory science as an MLT or MT (certified or certification eligible by nationally recognized association such as ASCP highly desirable). Hospital Laboratory experience highly desirable.

MEDICAL SURGICAL

Position: PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN

Status: Full Time

Hours: Days – 7am – 7pm

Assists the Registered Nurse to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the Medical/Surgical Department as directed by the medical staff and following the policies and procedures of GRMC. Demonstrates professional growth and accountability.Graduate of high school or equivalent and competent with 120-hour or 155-hour Nurse Aide Certificate. Must be listed as eligible on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry. Experience in acute care setting preferred. Medical terminology recommended

Position: REGISTERED NURSE

Status: Full Time (RN-15)

Hours: Nights 7pm – 7am

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate & provide nursing care for patients in the Medical/Surgical Department as directed by the medical staff following the policies & procedures of GRMC. The RN will guide & supervise nursing personnel, collaborate with other health care professionals, & coordinate ancillary staff. Must be graduate of an accredited nursing program, possess a current Iowa registered nursing licensure.

NUTRITION SERVICES

Position: COOK

Status: Occasional – 10 hours a week

Hours: Varied Hours

Duties may include meal production for patient meals, Neon Cafe, special catered functions and cafeteria. Requires the ability to read and write English in order to communicate with staff, patients, and other customers; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions. Must have a basic understanding of weights, measures, and recipe adjustments.Must possess the ability to work with others in a team effort and be organized and motivated to meet goals. One year of experience in quantity food preparation is preferred.

PHYSICIAN SERVICES

Position: MIDLEVEL PROVIDER - FLOAT

Status: Full Time

Grinnell Regional Medical Center is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide float coverage to all GRMC clinics including: our rural health clinics in Victor, Lynnville and Tama, the Manatt Family Urgent Care Clinic and GRMC's Community Care Clinic. The Provider will obtain medical history, performs patient education, emergency care, orders labs & x-rays, provides patient education & counseling. Makes diagnosis & determines course of action. Provides assistance in delivery of services to patients requiring continuing care (Home Health, Nursing Home, Extended Care Facilities). Works closely with supervising physician in all aspects of patient care & clinic operation.Must be a licensed PA or NP in the state of Iowa. Minimum of 1 year experience as a provider is required.

RURAL HEALTH

Position: CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT – LYNNVILLE CLINIC

Status: Full Time

Hours: Days

The CMA will assist the provider in all aspects of patient care including rooming patients, taking vitals, performing blood draws and injections. Must have the ability to learn and use Healthland and Allscripts systems. Prior clinic experience is preferred but not required. Must have current medical assistant certification. The hours will be part time in Lynnville and the CMA will float to the other GRMC hospital and rural health clinics to fulfill full time hours.
