Prayer Letter

April to August 2017

Dear friends,

Greetings to you all in the precious Name of Jesus.

I hope this letter finds you well. We are grateful to God for the gift of life he continues to give us each day.

1Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us new birth into living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Personally speaking.

As you may have heard, I have decided not to go to Britain and Germany this year as it has been for a number of years. I felt I should spend this time with my children.

We are slowly getting better. My sleep is getting much better than it was a few weeks ago.

It is now 4months and 10 days when Jane left us. We still have the pain of losing herbut wecontinue to trust God to help us move on knowing that one day we shall meet her in glory.

We are therefore praying for healing of our minds and hearts as we go through this time. And that we shall continue to trust in God as the song goes” even in the grave He is the Lord”.

Meanwhile, Ithank God for family and friends who have kept us in prayer, visited and called us.

Church Ministry.

The work of the ministry is going on well. The team I am working with continues to do a great work in visiting churches and conducting seminars and conferences in different countries where we have churches.

I have so far managed to attend some few. We thank Brian and Elspeth for stepping up their involvement during this time especially in administration.

Projects: -Education.

Kairos Nursery & Primary School in Kampala.

The term started well, but with fewer numbers of pupils, this is due to the fact that many parents don’t have the money to pay for their children’s fees. The ministry sponsors about 50 children through our friends and well-wishers. Teachers are working hard to do their day to day duties well.

Kairos High School

The secondary section like the primary did reporta low turn up of students. We have had to recruit the Deputy Head teacher and DOS because our former became a Head Master of another Christian school which is great. Our former DOS became the new Deputy Headmaster.

We are still in touch with him and thank God for him. The head teacher is working hard to train them alongside her day to day duties. Our other schools in Kasambya and Musenyi in Rwanda are all doing well.

Brian & Elspeth Fawcett did a great work in setting up the leadership of the Musenyi School. I have heard from the team that is leading this school. They are all doing well. Our prayer is that they shall continue to be the light in the school.

Health centre

KMC in Namuwongo.

This health centre has proven to be serving God in their day to day activities. They have continued to support the activity of Kairos Hospital in Kigunga. We are so grateful to God for leading us this far.

Kairos Hospital – Kigunga

This Hospital was officially opened in November 2013 since then up to date, we have continued to register improvement. We had a problem of a leaking slab but with the recent matchingfunds we have managed to roof this building. We shall soon work on the plastering and repainting fund allowing.

KMC in Kigali – Rwanda

The health Centre in Kigali continues to registers some great strides by admitting many patients. This is possible because of the National Medical Insurance scheme that was introduced some few years back. Our Job is simple to love the patients as they receive their treatment.

Leadership school.

The leadership school is going on well; weshall soon start our two weekstraining starting from the 8/05-19/05/2017. We presently have 35 leaders in training.

The SACCO Project.

This is the cooperative saving fund and members borrow money and use it in their business and later pay back with very little interest. This was started to help our people because before this it was very difficult for them to access such a soft loan. We continue to thank friends who have helped us start this project. We presently have a total of more than 200 members.
