Greetings, SERNATS colleagues!
It is once again time to begin thinking about the SERNATS student auditions. This year,SERNATS auditions will take place at Georgia State University, in Atlanta, Georgia,on March 24-25, 2017. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, is the registration deadline. Here are the detailed instructions:
1. Go to the SERNATS website ( Registration documents can be found under the auditions link. There are four documents you will need to submit online: teacher registration, student registration (if applicable), menu selection (if applicable) and accompanist application (submit only one roster per accompanist, listing all students for whom they will accompany, even if from multiple studios).Your repertoire sheets and registration payment will be submitted separately (see 3 and 4, below).
2. All registration documents are google forms.For short answer questions, just click and type. Please double check your forms for accuracy prior to submission, as you will not be able to access or edit your responses once they have been sent.All submissions will be time stamped, and must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. After the deadline, I will send a confirmation email to all registered teachers.
3. Submit repertoire sheets for all students via e-mail by11:59 p.m. EST on Tuesday,February 28, 2017. Please be sure you are using the latest repertoire guidelines posted on the SERNATS website that correspond with our recently approved NSA guidelines.Please do not mail your repertoire sheets with your fees. Repertoire sheets should be submitteddirectly to Dr. Reverie Berger, SERNATS Repertoire Consultant: . (Please note the email address has changed.) Repertoire questions may also be sent to Dr. Berger at this e-mail address.
4. Print and mail your payment calculation form with one check (made payable to SERNATS) covering all fees to:

The postmark deadline for mailing SERNATS registration fees is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
Please make certain that you consult with your accompanists and that you fill out the online form indicating the students for whom they will play. Accompanists should also indicate if they are interested in serving as a SERNATS staff accompanist. Due to the online registration system, the accompanist limit hasbeen capped at 10students on Friday, and 10 on Saturday. Multiple teachers from the same school who utilize the same accompanists must coordinate with each other to ensure that each accompanist is playing for no more than the number allowed. Please ensure that multiple teachers utilizing the same accompanist list his/her name consistently and that accompanists’ names are spelled correctly, to prevent variations in the same name. For example, the name “Joseph Smith” might be listed in several ways: Dr. Joseph Smith, Joe Smith, Joseph Smith, Joey Smith, etc. Please consult with other teachers from your school and choose one name to list for each accompanist.This consistency is very important for the online scheduling system.
Please note: If you have students auditioning, you must be available to judge for the entire SERNATS event (including the final rounds), or arrange for a substitute who is available for the entire event. Failure to observe this SERNATS policy may result in disqualification of your students.
