Greetings from the LH Martin Institute, the University of Melbourne!

Our 2013 award programs are professionally-oriented and tailored to the tertiary education sector, which make them suitable for academic leaders and professional managers across all facets of the sector and around the world. They are awarded by the University of Melbourne and provide their participants with an opportunity to network with international peers facing similar challenges.

Master of Tertiary Education Management (MTEM)

  • Two-year, part-time program.
  • Provides participants with practical skills for leading and managing effectively in the university/college/polytechnic context and access to the latest research on the sector.
  • Delivered via a mix of residential and online learning modes.
  • Scope to choose work-based projects aligned with personal development and career aspirations.
  • Opportunity to exit with a Graduate Certificate (after one year/accumulation of 50 credit points).

Graduate Certificate in Quality Assurance (GCQA)

  • One-year, part-time program.
  • Provides a comprehensive academic program for quality assurance professionals in tertiary education.
  • Delivered fully online including theory, case studies, moderated discussion boards, webinars and virtual teamwork.
  • Scope to choose assignments aligned with personal development and career aspirations.

The above information sessions will provide interested participants with a chance to discuss the programs further with LH Martin Institute staff as well as trial the technology used in the online delivery of the programs. Session participants attend using their own computers or mobile devices with access to the Internet and, ideally, a webcam.
