Greens Beach Golf Club – Community Engagement Forum 2018

Thank you to all members and Greens Beach, Kelso and Clarence Point residents who attended the Community Engagement Forum on Sunday, 25th March 2018.

The meeting provided an opportunity for attendees to put forward ideas and comments in regards to developing and extending activities and offerings with an emphasis on our community.

As the attached minutes of the Forum shows, we had a number of good ideas tabled and the overall feel of the morning was very positive.

Although a significant representative group attended the meeting, the Management Committee is eager to ensure all members and residents are fully aware and understand the proposed direction forward of the Golf Club.

Should there be anyone that did not attend Sunday’s Forum and requires further information or wishes to raise concerns and/or objections to the intended development going forward, please lodge these objections to the Greens Beach Golf Club Board.

David Rowell;

-Don’t have to ask individuals inthe community to put their hand in their pocket

-Projects 3 – 5 years

-Federal, State and Local Government – all involved

  • West Tamar Council – planning approvals etc. (more in-kind support)
  • State Government – minor government funder
  • Federal Government – majorgovernment funder

-Bureaucracy – parallel process

  • Do your homework
  • Get it right
  • Different areas of government to tap into e.g. Health & Wellness Centre – Health Department
  • Regional Development for other projects
  • Show that the community want this
  • In-kind support from the Golf Club
  • Make sure it is a good package

Updates to be sent to West Tamar Council who will distribute via their community database

Brand:
