JOB DESCRIPTION:
Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Transportation/Highway Engineers for immediate openings in our Pennsylvania Offices to assist with a variety of PennDOT and PA Turnpike transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have 7 or more years of experience preparing roadway geometric designs including interstate, interchange, intersection and arterial roadway designs in accordance with AASHTO specifications and PennDOT/ PA Turnpike Design Manuals. Experience with the design development process, maintaining client relationships, leading a project design team, and leading client meetings is also desirable. The individual must also be knowledgeable in the preparation of technical reports including design memos, design reports, construction cost estimates, and bid documents. Project management and construction coordination will also be required along with excellent oral and written communications with design staff and various clients. PE license is desirable. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience on Roadway/Transportation projects in Pennsylvania. Proficiency with MicroStation and Inroads is mandatory.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Please include any required education, certifications, or basic physical requirements if applicable):
•Qualified candidate must have/possess;
•BSCE from an accredited school.
•A valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).
•A personal vehicle for use during the day for transportation to and from the workplace and on or around a job site.
•Ability to read and understand plans and direction given in the English language.
•Ability to write in English.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Basic computer skills
•Ability to create and or edit Microsoft Word documents
•Be able to wear GPI standard PPE, i.e. hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles
