This will be the branding and identity vehicle for launching Green Planet Foods Ltd. into the local food distribution business. It will focus on organic, local and nutrition in its product development, both in house and outsourced. A sophisticated back end electronic administration software product will provide daily cash out of all transactions. A customer loyalty program will be established through a cooperative membership structure. Transportation of product will utilize green strategies as much as possible. Delivery systems will be conducted with minimal handling and storage through a real time inventory schedule.

A local food store in Madeira Park, Oak Tree Market strives to provide its customers with high quality food products, particularly in their meat and produce departments. As much as possible the company seeks local product. As part of the GPF team, Oak Tree Market will be responsible for producing the protein products, particularly in the meat categories.

Deep Rooted Consulting

Distribution strategies are very critical to ensuring a profitable enterprise. Two initial strategies brought forward by Deep Rooted Consulting will be electronic administration and same day payment schedule. Norm Blair, operator of a number of food distribution companies in the past, as well as a top performer in corporate sales, will bring his talents to communicate the opportunities of becoming part of and/or supporting GPF.

Karma Kitchen

To ensure the standards of GPF Lynn Grossutti, an honours graduate from Guelph University in Nutrition and owner of Green Planet Foods, will trace food sources that will provide the consumer with a high level of confidence when purchasing any products with the GPF label. Additionally, Karma Kitchen will oversee product development.

Strategic Alliances

Green Room

A 3.5 hectare farm in Upper Gibsons, the Green Room is operated by Linda Fogarty and Gabriel Forbes. Both are very knowledgeable and dedicated to growing food. They are and will continue to be a great resource for GPF. As a certified organic farm they are current with all regulations surrounding food production. They are also connected to the local farming community and will keep GPF apprised of harvest time lines. GPF will be able to assist the farming community economically by capturing product not suitable for retail.

Food Action Network

This organization will be a go to place for the community to learn about everything that is happening in the local food environment. GPF will work closely with this organization to assist both parties in streamlining information flows to the community.
