TOURNAMENT RULES

THE FOLLOWING RULES PLUS USBC RULES WILL GOVERN THIS TOURNAMENT

  1. All money prizes will be on a handicap basis (80% handicap & 20% scratch), with the exception of the Scratch All-Events.
  1. All entrants must be sanctioned by the United States Bowling Congress and hold individual membership cards with the Greater Pensacola USBC Association.
  1. All contestants will use their highest 2010-2011 GPUSBCA certified average which is based on a minimum of 21 games. Bowlers without a 2010-2011 yearbook average will use their highest 2009-2010 yearbook average which is based on a minimum of 21 games. All others will bowl scratch.

(a)It shall be each Bowler's responsibility to verify the accuracy of their average. Failure to use the proper average or make a correction prior to completion of the first game of a series shall cause disqualification if submitted average is lower than actual average. Prize winnings will be based on submitted average if it is higher.

(b)Only Greater Pensacola USBC Association averages will be accepted in this tournament.

(c)Rule 319a ( 10 Pin Rule ) and 319e (Average Adjustment for Entry) - ARE NOT IN EFFECT.

4Prize Fees will be returned 100% as prizes. Ratio of 1 place for every 10 entries, team, singles and doubles. All Events 1 for 20.

5Tournament Manager shall have the power to decide matters pertaining to the operation of this tournament.

6Handicap shall be based on 95% of 230. NO MAXIMUM handicap

7Any player or team arriving late shall begin play with the score counting, beginning with the frame then being bowled. A team refusing to start because a full line-up is not present shall forfeit all games by declining to bowl.

8Three (3) complete games shall be bowled by each team or individual in each event they enter.

9Entrants may participate up to FOUR times in the TEAM event (provided lineup does not include more than two members from another team entry); however the first team event counts toward ALL events. Multiple doubles participation will be allowed provided your initial doubles and singles event payment has been made. Your first doubles entry counts toward ALL events. Singles may only be bowled once. Bowlers cannot enter singles or doubles separately.

10First place ties in any event will be bowled within 10 days after the close of the tournament with the date and time set by the Tournament Manager. The association will pay the expense of a 3 game roll-off. When a tie for other than 1st place occurs, the prize money will be combined and divided equally among the tied position winners.

11A prize list will be posted in the host bowling center 24 hours prior to the tournament. Confirmation will NOT be mailed to each team captain unless the first choice is not available. All prize monies will be awarded within 30 days after close of the tournament (provided there are no protests). Team captains are responsible for distributing the prize money to their team members within 7 days after receipt of prize money.

12All entries and fees must be in hands of the Tournament Manager or postmarked not later than midnight October 20, 2011.

13Plaques will be awarded to handicap and scratch champions in each event.

14Report all substitutions to Tournament Manager's office at least one (1) hour before squad time. All bowlers check in at tournament table 45 minutes prior to scheduled bowling time.

15A right-handed bowler with an established right-handed average must bowl right-handed. Similarly a left-handed average must bowl left-handed. A bowler with both a right-handed and a left-handed average must use his/her highest average.

16Total entry fee per person will be $25.00 per event. Breakdown of the entry fee is:

Optional ALL EVENTS will be $5.00 (Handicap and/or Scratch). Bowlers may enter handicap, scratch or both ALL EVENTS. Cost for bowlers to enter Team, Doubles/Singles and both All Events is $85.00, one All Events $80.00 or no All Events $75.00.

17ALL PARTICIPANTS DRESS CODE: Proper attire is required. No tank tops, short shorts, and all shirts must have sleeves.
