- North of Grange Farm housing development update - No application has been presented as yet, defer to next meeting agenda
- Bank Erosion Update on Funding application with River Tees Trust the application with HDC was unsuccessful. The project has been offered a grant from NYCC by Cllr Heather Moorhouse which will enable the first phase of the work to be undertaken. This will include work to the first 5 weirs to reduce the turbulence, allow fish passage and reinforce the banks of the beck in the areas of worst erosion with birch bundles from the felled trees (see 7.3). The remainder of the weirs will be worked upon as a second phase if funding can be found. Cllr Andy Wake suggested the Council approach the Stokesley regeneration group for any funding and the Environment Agency for other funding options. The initial work will take place in September 2016 after necessary permissions have been sought from the District Council.
- Tree plan application update – permission has been granted by HDC and the proposed felling of the tree will take place in this year, in conjunction with the felling of three trees sanctioned in the 5 year plan. Cllr.M.O'Neill will approach previous contractor for prices for the work. If feasible some of the brash from the felled trees will be used for the bank erosion project detailed in point 7.2
- Broadacres properties in Back Lane update – Broadacres has confirmed they are satisfied with the fencing work that has been undertaken in Back Lane No further action.
- Further discussion on road infrastructure and highway safety for Great Broughton - A meeting has been arranged with Nigel Smith of the Highways Authority for July 6th at the Thirsk office of the Highways Authority, Cllr. M. O’Neill and Mr Dulken will attend on the Council’s behalf and NYC Cllr. Heather Moorhouse will lend her support.
9.0 Correspondence
9.1Parking complaints at the Village Hall, with reference to white vans parking too close to the corner to make any manoeuvres safely. The Parish Council will inform the Police as they are looking into poor parking in the village, as one of the vans in also branded as Broadacres, the PC will also inform them about the issues. The Village Hall Trust will also write to Broadacres about the issues.
9.2 Play area fence issues –Cllr D Ashton has been approached over continued damage of fences in the park ‘den area’ which is on the school border. The Parish Council will take a look and monitor the situation and see what works may be considered on both sides. Clerk to inform school of this decision.
9.3 School crossing project The Parish Council have been provided with information about the speeding and safe crossing points for the school, Cllr.H.Eldabe is in touch with the organsied group and will support where required on any specific requests. The Parish Council were thankful for being kept involved in the work done so far and will be keen to hear how it is progressing. Cllr Helen Eldabe to respond to the group on the Parish Councils behalf.

11.2 16/00458/FUL – 80 The Nook, High Street, Great Broughton – single storey extension to kitchen, garage and outbuilding conversion of part of garage to office. At Planning committee, site visit planned, PC Councillors to attend and continue objection.
11.3 16/01066 /RPN – Prior notification for a larger home extension to the rear of dwelling 89 High Street, Great Brougton – MrMrs Gillespie – Recommended for aproval

13. Play Area
13.1 Bark purchase to go ahead and Cllr.G Lamb to organise and get additional support from Councillors to undertake the work.

14.3 Annual accounts and bank reconciliation approved by the Parish Council,
and external audit paperwork completed and signed as record of the last financial year.
15. Any other urgent business
15.1Chair to contact the Woodland trust again to make sure summer cut of the Millennium Wood will take place as requested
15.2Thank you to Peter Hoey for provision of updated bus timetables to be added to the Parish noticeboards
15.3To be added to the next meeting agenda. The Local Plan, map to be circulated to Councilors
15.5The position of Parish Clerk is to be advertised, as the current clerk has resigned. Clerk and Cllr.Mr.M.’ONeill to discuss updating job description and route of advertising.
15.6The Clerk will contact the District Council about the removal of unsightly broken sand bags currently outside of the Shop in The High Street
15.7 Cllr Andy Wake brought the parish councils attention the possibility of Green bin waster being chargeable in the near future, any objections to this, please lobby the District Council.
