GRADE 2 SWIMMING PROGRAM NOVEMBER 14th TO 18th

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Swimming program for Grade 2 students will include 5 days of 40minute lessons running from Monday the 14th of November to Friday the 18th of November and the House Swimming Carnival. Students will participate in their lessons at the Kilsyth Centenary Pool at the following times:

Prep C, Prep K – 10am - 10:40am

Prep P, Prep H – 10:40am – 11:20am

2N, 1/2G – 11:20am – 12pm

2M, 2VW – 12:30pm - 1:10pm

1R, GIRLS in 1A – 1:10pm – 1:50pm

1C, BOYS in 1A – 1:50pm – 2:30pm

Important information:

What to bring

Each day students will need to bring the following:

  • Towel and goggles (if desired)
  • Change of clothes (bathers to be worn under school uniform to school)
  • Bag for wet bathers and towel

Cost: The cost of this program which includes bus travel for five days, entry into the pool, five days of swimming instruction with students in small groups (5-7) AND the Swimming Carnival is $69.

House Swimming Carnival $5

Please note if you are coming to watch your child swim you need to pay entry at the pool. Parent helpers do not need to pay.

Parent helpers: We require the help of parents to travel on the bus and assist at the pool. If you are available to assist please indicate this on the permission form.

Montrose Primary School is a Child Safe organisation, which adheres to the child safe standards. All of our staff and volunteers must agree to abide by our code of conduct, which specifies the standards of conduct required when working with children. Any parent helpers selected for this excursion will need to sign the school’s Child Safety Code of Conduct policy and have a current Working with Children’s check.

I understand that in the event of serious misbehaviour my child may need to be sent home from an excursion and the costs associated with this are the parent or carer’s responsibility.

I authorise the teacher in charge of the excursion to consent, where it is impracticable to communicate with me; to the child receiving such medical or surgical treatment as may be deemed necessary.

Payment and permission forms need to be received by the school no later than 10am the day before the excursion or at a time stipulated on the permission form.

  • No payment will be accepted after this time due to the processing requirements for the following day
  • Failure to make payment by 10am the previous day will result in students not being taken on the excursion, unless prior arrangements have been made
  • Money will not be accepted on the morning of the excursion
  • Students without signed permission forms will not be taken on the excursion
