Remember there is no school tomorrow in honor of Presidents Day.
Parents, you should have received a letter at conferences from our district office regarding our DASL system and our need to update our computer with contact numbers. If you did not attend a conference, your child should have brought this letter home on Wednesday. Please fill it out as soon as possible and return it to your child’s teacher. We want to keep your children safe at all times and having accurate contact phone numbers is a must. Thank you for helping us with this important matter.
Kindergarten Registration is starting soon. Registration for Clough students isMarch 9-13.
Call our Central Enrollment office at 943-5042 to make an appointment. Students must be 5 by September 30th to start KDG for this coming school year.
Tuesday starts our specials week. If your child has PE this week, their teacher should have notified them and they should wear appropriate clothes and shoes. Also, this is Jump Rope for Heart Hero Spirit Week as well. Students are encouraged to bring in pictures of family members or friends who remind us of why we want to have healthy hearts. This can be people who have had or are battling any type of heart disease. We will have an Honor Wall to display these pictures.
On Tuesday students will be participating in a special heart pumping and body jumping activity. Students were asked to wear red or pink, the color of a healthy heart on Tuesday as well.
Wednesday is wear your team uniform or dress like a heart healthy sports hero.
Thursday is hat day, wear a hat or visor of your favorite team!
Friday is crazy sock day! Wear crazy socks that make you jump higher!
We are all looking forward to a fun-filled heart awareness week!
School of Rock will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Students who are in School of Rock should bring their music with them.
Walking Club may meet Wednesday afternoon, weather permitting. Watch for an email from Mrs. Testa!
Also, parents, please do not assume if the weather is cold that your child will have indoor recess. If the temperature, with the wind chill factored in, is 28 degrees or warmer, the students WILL have outdoor recess.
Just a reminder, the date for our annual Sweetheart Dance has been changed due to a conflict at Holiday Inn. The dance will now be on Saturday March 21.
Don’t forget, if you received a past due school fee bill, please make arrangements to pay it as soon as possible. These fees follow a student up to graduation, so it is important to keep them paid each year. Please call Mrs. Little with any questions or if you need to make payment arrangements.
Parents, we are still very much in need of subs for teacher’s aides, recess monitors, and cafeteria monitors, and health clinic assistant subs. If you are interested in getting on the sub list, please stop by our district office to sign up.
ALSO, OUR DISTRICT IS VERY MUCH IN NEED OF TEACHER SUBS. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A BACHELOR’S DEGREE TO QUALIFY. PLEASE CALL OUR DISTRICT OFFICE AT 943-5000 IF YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW, MIGHT BE INTERESTED.
Cinderella’s closet will be opening the last week in February. CallMrs.Little with any questions or if your daughter needs to visit Cinderella’s Closet to get a dress. Donations are still being accepted.
Parents, please help those who are working outside in the cold by being in the pick-up line by 3:10.
