In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of this event.
LOCATION / GCITFACILITIES / The Aquatic Center at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology is an 8 lane 25 yard pool. The starting and turning depth is 10 feet. The pool is equipped with non-turbulent lane lines, Paragon starting blocks and a Colorado 6 Timing System with 8 lane readout scoreboards.
The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
There is a separate mezzanine with seating for 450 spectators and unlimited parking.

ELIGIBILITY / This meet is open to all USA Swimming registered swimmers who are members of the Greater Philadelphia Aquatic Club. All swimmers will be registered by the team prior to the meet entry deadline. On-site registration will not be accepted at this meet.ALL SWIMMERS MAY COMPETE IN A MAXIMUM OF 4 EVENTS.
ENTRY LIMITATIONS / The meet director reserves the right to limit entries, events or heats, or to modify the meet format to conform with Middle Atlantic rules; the four hour session rule will be strictly enforced. Swimmers/teams eliminated from the meet due to time or space constraints will be given a full refund.
ORDER OF EVENTS
WARM UP & START TIME / Attached is a sheet listing the order of events and event numbers.
Warm up will begin at 7:30 am with the meet starting at 8:15 am.
WARM-UP PROCEDURES / Open Warm Up.
DECK ENTRIES / No Deck Entries
ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES / Swimmers with a disability are welcome to enter this meet. The coach or team entry person must alert the meet director and the meet referee as to the need for any special accommodations or seeding arrangements at the time the entry is submitted.
SEEDING / The meet will be pre-seeded. The meet program will be created and emailed to the coaches and parents in advance of the meet.
RACING START CERTIFICATION / Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
HOW TO ENTER / All entries will be done through the GPAC website using out online entry process.
Entries must be submitted in the course they were achieved.
NO POST ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
ENTRY FEES / $5 per event. All fees will be charged to team account.
ENTRY DEADLINE / Sunday, Sept 17, 2017
RECORDING BAN / The use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in the changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.
DRONES / Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with prior written approval by the Vice President of Program Operations of USA Swimming.
DECK CHANGING / Deck changes are prohibited.
RULES / This is a timed final meet.
The swimmer’s age on the first day of the meet will be the age they swim with at the meet.
This meet will be conducted according to current USA Swimming rules. Middle Atlantic rules will also apply. USA SWIMMING/MIDDLE ATLANTIC SAFETY GUIDELINES AND WARM-UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE MEET.
Only currently credentialed Coaches, USA Swimming Athletes and essential meet personnel will be permitted on deck. YOU MUST PROVIDE EITHER CURRENT USA SWIMMING CREDENTIALS OR WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE CURRENTLY CERTIFIED BY USA SWIMMING TO BE ON THE POOL DECK. THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO DECK ACCESS FOR PERSONS NOT CREDENTIALED BY USA SWIMMING UNLESS YOU ARE WORKING IN AN OFFICIAL MEET CAPACITY. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED BY THE MEET SAFETY COMMITTEE.
This meet will be conducted using whistle command and No-Recall False Start procedures. Verbal commands will also be used for 8 & under events. Once a session starts the meet referee has all control over the meet as it takes place in the water. A timeline will be provided to all entered teams utilizing a 20 second heat interval.
Fly-over stars will be used at this meet for all 9 & over events. Swimmers will be asked to exit the pool for all 8 & under events. All swimmers (except backstroke starts) should remain in the water at the completion of their race until the next heat has begun.
Any swimmer observed swimming under or through the Bulkhead by any Official or Safety Monitor at the Meet will be disqualified from that swimmers next individual Event or from the remainder of the meet, as determined by the meet referee. This policy will be strictly enforced.

Penalties will be imposed upon any swimmer when any coach, parent or swimmer enters any time other than the swimmer’s best time for any event. Penalties may include fines or suspension at the discretion of the Middle Atlantic Swimming Board of Directors.
SCORING & AWARDS / There will be no scoring or awards at this meet.
PROGRAMS & ADMISSION / There will be no charge for admissions or programs at this meet. No program will be available.
RESULTS / Results will be posted on the GPAC website.
