Governor Annual Self-Review
School Details
Dear Governor
RE: Governor Annual Self Review
Firstly I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the school, senior leadership team and all the governors to express our gratitudeto you for the valuable contribution that you as a governor make to our school.
In the spirit of continuous improvement for our governing body it is the responsibility of the Chair to ensure that governors are supported to carry out their strategic role and it is good practice for all governors to be part of an annual reflection or self-review. This can be done in a number of ways that I would urge you to consider one pf them to support you in developing further in your role.
Governors can complete one of the forms attached and set their own three targets and training and development plan for the coming year. The questions below can form the basis of a short discussion between the Chair and each governor to assess their views and contribution to the board
Governors can also ask for a 1:2:1 meeting with myself as the current Chair of the governing body/board to discuss your answer to the questions belowand to ensure that we are making the best use of the skills of governors. The 1:2:1 meeting should last no longer than 20 to 30 minutes.
Please contact me if you wish to arrange a 1:2:1.
Once again thank you for your support.
Kind Regards
Chairs of Governors
