GOULSTON & STORRS CONTINUES DC OFFICE EXPANSION
Adds Military Housing Privatization Group
Washington, DC (April 25, 2011) Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Washington, DC office. Lee C. Carter and Yann H. H. van Geertruyden have joined the firm’s DC office as Directors, and Jamie Gross has joined as an associate. Lee, Yann and Jamie were most recently members of the Military Housing Privatization and Real Estate practices at Pillsbury’s DC office.
Since opening its DC office in 2001 to support its National Affordable Housing practice, Goulston & Storrs has broadened the firm’s office into a full service real estate practice through the acquisition of numerous partners from AmLaw 200 firms, including Shelly Wiesel, former Chair of the Real Estate Group from Shaw Pittman; Dennis Moyer, former managing partner of the Northern Virginia office of Hogan & Hartson; George Weidenfeller, the former Deputy General Counsel of HUD; followed by Steve Schneider, a pre-eminent tax attorney; and Tim Watkins, the former general counsel of Penzance, a private equity real estate investment company that owns, develops and manages commercial real estate. Most recently, the office was bolstered by the arrival of the Land Use Group, including Maureen Dwyer, former Managing Partner of Pillsbury’s DC office.
