Announcements for DHC
Good Sunday evening Viking parents and guardians.
Here are a few announcements for this Homecoming/Spirit Week.
This week will have a number of activities in conjunction with the culminating Homecoming game on Friday against Aycock.
Monday will be Pajama Day for students and staff. Please no lingerie, bedroom shoes, or visible undergarments.
Tuesday will be Character Day where students can dress as their favorite TV show, movie, or book character. Students are even allowed to dress as their favorite DHC faculty member.
Wednesday will be decade day with seniors dressing from the 60s, juniors will be dressing from the 70s, sophomores will dressing from the 80s, and freshman will dress from the 90s.
Thursday will be Sport Day where students can dress in their favorite sport team attire. No hats please on any of the days including Sport Day.
Friday will wrap the week up with Crazy Blue and Gold Day. No face paint or masks of any kind for this week. If you choose to not participate in the Spirit Day theme students will be in normal dress code.
At the end of the school day Friday we will have our Pep Rally for students. Parents this will be for students only. Starting at 4:30 and up until game time Friday we will have the Tailgate party for students located near the tennis courts in the picnic area.
Parents, do you know your student can get a good breakfast at school each morning in the cafeteria? We would love to have your student come have a well-balanced meal to start their day. Remind them to come eat with us each morning. Also, Oct 10 will be the last day for students to eat a free lunch in the cafeteria unless you fill out a new application for your child to receive free and reduced lunch. Please make sure and do not interrupt your child’s lunch with late paperwork. Fill this application out and send in today by your child.
