Personalized Learning Update

There is so much going on nationally and locally with the Personalized Learning Movement so I thought I would provide you some bullet points. Our community should be very proud of being on the leading edge!

-Last Month Learning Personalized: the evolution of the contemporary classroom byAllison Zmudawas published. Allison worked with our CMS Design Team to frame up our movement. CMS is cited in the book for excellence in building frameworks for Personalized Planning.

-Last week Creative Schools: The Grassroots Revolution that’s Transforming Education by Sir Ken Robinson was published. If you want a taste of the book and how it relates to Hawk Ridge check out this interview from CBS This Morning: you watch this video, tune into the very last comments!! That is the student ownership part we have been working so hard on this year! Sir Ken Robinson also has the most widely known TED Talk with over 30 million views.

-A new movie has hit the theater circuit. The movie Most Likely To Succeed has been met with standing ovations at all of the major Film Festivals this year. You can watch the preview here: am hoping to get a showing in our area.

- I am extremely proud of our staff and students and their innovative work this year!!
