REVIEW SUMMARY

Institute of Directors (IOD) received an overwhelming response this year and in all total 274 applications has been received. Out of which 109 were short-listed after critical scrutiny for final selection through 3 tier assessment process for the Golden Peacock National Quality Award, Golden Peacock Innovation Management Award & Golden Peacock Innovative Product / Service Award for the year 2010.

The applicants of Golden Peacock Awards were broadly classified under various categories based on their performance

An expert assessment team comprising of five Quality auditors and management experts was set up to assess the applications received. Each of the application was reviewed by two assessors independently and was further discussed by the committee for normalisation of assessments/ reviews. The Committee was headed by Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi, Advisor, FAO. And chairman Quality and Safety Forum of Institution of Engineers. Certain clarifications were sought and reviewed by the assessors from the applicants. Limited final confirmation visits have been arranged.

Review Parameters/ Criteria:

The applications were assessed based on an exhaustive set of parameters as mentioned in the prescribed guidelines covering all the areas on a total score card of 1000 marks. The applicant scoring the highest among each of the respective industrial categories are recommended to the Jury.
