Directions: Accessible from 1-95 Exits 38, 36 and 29
Competition Pool: The Aquatic Center Outdoor Competition Pool is a heated, 25 yard 8 lane pool, containing non-turbulence lane dividers. Meet timing will be conducted using a Colorado timing system or SST timing system with results posted using Hy-Tek Meet Manager. Outdoor locker rooms are available for team use. There is ample deck space for spectators. Bring chairs and tents. A dive well pool is available for warm-up and warm-down during the meet.
The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). A copy of this certification is on file with USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming. The water depth as certified at both ends of the pool measures 4’ in lane 1 andgradually slopes downward to 6’ in lane 8.
Concessions: Full food concessions will be available for purchase. A complimentary hospitality area for breakfast will be provided for all officials, coaches and meet volunteers with appropriate credentials.
Rules: The current USA Swimming Rules and Regulations will govern the conduct of the meet unless otherwise noted within this meet information. Swimmers will be responsible for swimming in their assigned heats and lanes. The meet referee has the discretion to determine the need to do dive-over starts.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.
Deck Changingis prohibited. Swimmers participating in deck changing could be subject to removal from further competition in the meet.
Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibitedover the venue (pools, athlete/coaches’areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. Exceptions may be granted with priorwritten approval by the Vice President of Program Operations.
Photos and videos may be taken of swimmers during the meet byparents or a professional photographer retained by the host club. All participants agree to be filmed or photographed by photographerspictures, likenesses, and biographical information before, during, or after the period of participation in Georgia Swimming competitions to promote swimming and meets hosted by the meet organizer. If you do not wish to have your child(ren) photographed, you may withdraw your consent by informing the Meet Director before the start of the first day of the meet.
Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.
All Swimmers, Coaches and Officials must be currently registered with USA Swimming. Deck Pass is acceptable proof of USA Swimming membership.
Eligibility: This is an open meet with no time standards Open to all 2017 USA Swimming
registered swimmers.If a swimmer who is not properly registered with USA
Swimming competes in a sanctioned competition, the host LSC may impose
a fine of up to $100.00 per event against the individual, member coach or
member club submitting the entry.
Entry limit: A swimmer may enter up to 6 events per day. Swimmers entered in more than the event limit for the meet will be scratched from the last event(s) entered.
Entry Format: Please submit entries electronically in a Hy-Tek compatible format by disk or email (preferred). Entries must include each swimmer’s USA Swimming registration number, first and last name, age, and seed time for each event entered. Errors in entries submitted electronically are the responsibility of the applicant. Entries may be submitted via e-mail to Vickie Wilson at . The order of events is available in Hy-Tek format at
Entry Fees: Individual events $6.00. Signed waiver and check must accompany entry. Make check payable to Golden Isles Swim Team. Meet entry fees are non-refundable unless entire session of a meet is cancelled prior to start of that session due to weather or some other unforeseen circumstance. In that case, meet entries for that session will be refunded to the team submitting the entries.
Entry Deadline: All entries must be received at the address below by 6:00 pm, July 1, 2017. Please waive signature for overnight deliveries. Late entries: Late entries will be accepted on a lane available basis only. No additional heats will be created for late entries. Any entries received after the entry deadline of
July 1, 2017, will be charged as late entries. Changes and corrections to entries
will be accepted until 6:00 pm, July 5, 2017. After the entry deadline and until July 3, 2017, late entries will be accepted by email. After July 5, late entries will be accepted at the meet up to the time Clerk of Course closes before each session. Late entry fees will be doubled and late entries on site will be seeded with no time (NT). Lateentered swimmerswho are not already entered in the meet must present proof of USAS registration to the Clerk of Course.
Excessive entries: In the event of excessive entries which create sessions that will run later than 11:00am on Saturday and 12:00 Noon on Sunday, meet warm-up times and start times may be adjusted to ensure meet ends by those times due to pool opening to the public.
Format: All events on Saturday and Sunday will be swum as Timed Finals. Dive-over starts may be used. Coaches should make sure their swimmers understand dive- over starts.
Scoring & Awards: Ribbons will be provided 1st thru 8th place for each 12 and Under event in the 8 and Under, 9-10 and 11-12 categories. Ribbons will be provided for 1st thru place for OPEN events.
Coaches: All coaches planning to be on the pool deck will be required to sign in and show their USA Swimming coaches registration card with an expiration date of July 10, 2017 or later. Any coach not having a current (2017) certification will be barred from the pool deck. No exceptions will be made. Copies of the certification, faxes, and letters stating CPR/First Aid/STFSC are up to date will not be considered. Coaches will be required to display their USA Swimming badge while on the pool deck and in hospitality. At least one coach from each team must attend the coaches’ meeting.
Coaches Meeting: A mandatory coaches meeting will be held Saturday, July 8 at 6:45am. One coach from each club is required to attend. Subsequent meetings will be arranged if needed. Coaches arriving late should check with the Meet Referee upon arrival.
Warm-Up: 8 lanes will be provided for warm-ups. Georgia Swimming, Inc. approved warm- up guidelines will be followed for this meet. Warm-up lane assignments will be posted at the pool and Clerk of Course. All teams will be required to furnish one USAS-certified coach to monitor warm-up. Teams may be required to share lanes during warm-up. Swimmers may enter the pool only at the start end using feet first entry until the last 20 minutes when one way starts and sprints will be allowed per lane. The dive-well will be available for warm-up / warm-down during the meet.
Officials: The host team welcomes and encourages the assistance of certified officials and
apprentices from visiting teams. All officials must present at check-in current LSC certification cardsor a recently completed apprentice formandproof of
current USA Swimming membership. Officials must display their credentials while
on deck and in hospitality. Officials must have current certification in order to be
on the pool deck in any official capacity. There will be an officials meeting 1 hr.
prior to the start of each session. Officials should sign in prior to the meeting start time.
LiabilityThe City of Brunswick Parks and Recreation Dept., the Glynn County Recreation and Parks Dept., the Golden Isles Swim Team, Georgia Swimming, Inc., and USA Swimming, Inc. shall be held free and harmless from any and all liabilities or claims for damage arising by reason of injury to anyone during the conduct of this meet. Acceptance of this policy is evidenced by entry into this meet.
Hotels: There are many hotels available at Exits 38, 36 and 29 off 1-95 as well as on St. Simons Island. Some of these are: Courtyard Marriott; Fairfield Inn; Hampton Inns; Holiday Inn and Suites; Baymont Inn; Comfort Inns; Embassy Suites; Country Inn and Suites, Best Western and Ouality Inn.

WAIVER, ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND LIABILITY RELEASE
I, the undersigned coach or team representative, verify that all of the swimmers and coaches listed on the enclosed entry are registered with USA Swimming.
I acknowledge that I am familiar with the safety rules of USA Swimming and Georgia Swimming regarding warm-up procedures and that I shall be responsible for the compliance of my swimmers with those rules during this meet.
