GOD AND TERRORISM
------
Terrorism has been around for thousands of years. All criminal organizations, political parties, governments, nations, empires, and religions of the world have made use of terror to achieve their objectives.
The philosophers of terrorism, from Machiavelli to Robespierre, from Lenin to Hitler, advocated its use, until the state was taken over. All terrorist groups were forgiven, once they had become the government ; in the pursuit of power, success leaves few enemies.
Here are some examples concerning religious terrorism. Of the three seminal religions of the Near East, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the Jews founded Israel by a form of genocide. Joshua had particularly practiced a policy of ethnic cleansing, as can be read in the biblical account of his reign. When he killed the population of Ai, men, women and children together to the number of 12,000, and burned the town .
He exterminated King after King and tribe after tribe, particularly in Hebron. ‘ And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, the King thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein ; he left none remaining ’.
The great problem of any religion is when it passes from poverty to power. When the faithful are persuaded that they now rule through the leaders, a terrible revenge is exacted against those who disagree.
Most of the religious terrorism since that time has been associated with Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, and Islam. This characteristic is particularly noticeable during times of great religious change and unrest.
UNESCO has estimated that during the last 2000 years, approximately 200 Million people have been killed because of religious wars, Inquisitions, and other religious violence .
Although we call ourselves more civilized than our ancestors, we have been able to terrorize to death at least 100 million people in the twentieth century, a scale of genocide made possible by modern technology, which is our pride and joy.
If we have not progressed from barbarism to some
humanity, we are beyond redemption.

Now that the third millennium has begun and we are aware of so much world-wide terrorism, because of all the latest information with technology at our disposal, and the above information. Let us pause for a moment to reflect about the horrors of terrorism and ask ourselves, if it has always existed to this day, can any nation or group pretend to be better than others, in reference to the above information ?
How can terrorism be eliminated when the cause that makes it happen is not ?
Will it take the wisdom of God to find a solution to this problem, or are we just wasting our time in thinking and believing that he is different than us, and that he is not a terrorist as we humans are ?
Referring to the writers of the bible that mention God’s punishment to humans with 40 days and nights of rain where only Noah and his family were spared, this would mean if it truly happened, God was responsible for killing not only the bad humans of the world but all of the good-ones too, with their children .
Other believers have also claimed during the latest disasters of hurricanes and earthquakes, that God has punished us again because we are bad.
It is strange that most of the places hit with the horror, destruction, and death seem to be located where most of the poor people of the world live. Does it mean that the poor are more wicked than the rich and that is why God terrorizes and kills them ? After having analyzed the above information, plus your personal knowledge in reference to the problem of terrorism, would you disagree with some believers that their claim better not be truth, other-wise God would become known to the world as the cruelest and the most successful terrorist because of the number of victims, the fact he has being doing it since the beginning of time, and he will never be brought to justice for his crimes committed like in the case of Saddam Hussein, or blow himself up like some of the latest terrorists do you agree ?
