The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Society is community of like-minded leaders who share the late Senator Mike Mansfield’s commitment to the principles of public service, integrity, respect, understanding, trust, cooperation and humility. We exercise these values as the foundation for community building, leadership training and global problem solving.

The Mansfield Society is an international assembly of innovators, scholars, business executives, civic leaders, and government representatives, who are not afraid to think big and take on complex Twenty-First Century challenges in order to make positive changes to the communities we engage. Specifically, we are concerned about global energy, the future of water, innovation, entrepreneurship, and global education.

Moreover, we believe in the importance of lifelong learning, selfless generosity, constantinnovation, and global collaboration with leaders across sectors, cultures and interests. We believe cultivating fellow leaders is essential, but equally critical, is investing in, and paying forward to, future leaders. Just as Maureen and Mike Mansfield demonstrated throughout their lives, we believe leaving an inspirational legacy is a noble goal.

The Mansfield Society fulfills this mission through a variety of initiatives that cultivate interdisciplinary, international, inspirational and innovative learning. These programs include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership programs focused on experiential learning and problem solving;
  • Education and trade missions that expose participants to new cultures and connect them to people from other countries;
  • Highly interactive conferences focused on dialogue and collaboration;
  • Dynamic and interactive online content
  • Advisory support to help members navigate the complex landscape of international engagement

We constantly look for new ways to challenge and push the limits of learning to help leaders grow.

Finally, the long-term vision for the Mansfield Society is that it is the keystone to developing an internationally-renowned, and celebrated, network of leaders, based in Montana, which regularly draws together the most innovative, influential, generous and collaborative thinkers and decision-makers to address the greatest global challenges pressuring our world.
