“You Are Special” Bags for Children Entering Foster Care

Thank you for being a part of the “You Are Special” bags drive to help children feel love when they are at their most vulnerable.

  1. Use the Parent Cue sheet to have a discussion about sharing and thankfulness with your child.
  1. Purchase some items. Please contribute whatever your family can from the list! A full bag will include:
  • Small stuffed animal (to fit inside bag)
  • Comfortable Socks (fuzzy or fun)- size 3-6 yrs
  • Play-doh
  • Squishy stress balls
  • Coloring books and crayons
  • Tooth brush and toothpaste
  • Small Flashlight with batteries
  • Card/card game or mini etch-a-sketch or View master toys
  • “You Are Special” book by Max Lucado
  1. Bring items to New England Chapel and place them in the “You Are Special” treasure box outside of Small Chapel during the month of July.
  1. Consider helping with assembly of the gift bags on July31stafter service. You can sign up at the Kids Zone host desk. The
