GlogsterPoster Outline:
- Log onto Glogster at and you will find our starting place to create our region posters. Click Create Glog now.
- The first screen you will come to looks like this.
- Click on the tab wall to select your background. Select a wall or background that is simple as to not to detract from your text. For example, the clouds I have chosen.
- Click on text and select 6 texts boxes which will display the information from each area of reporting from thecartographer- maps, meteorologist- weather, geologist- landforms, statistician- population, historian- notable landmarks as well as a catchy title!
Discuss the best way to describe and creatively display your information. For example perhaps the map of your image becomes the largest image on the poster and the other text boxes surround this image.
- To edit each text box, select it and click Edit at the top. This allows you to type in each text box. As in Microsoft word you can expand the box by grabbing a corner and dragging your mouse out. Text can be exited in terms of font and size within the edit function.
- Exciting posters include images to help explain their point. Click on image to add photos. Select either upload or link to add your image. Your poster should include at least the following.
- An image of a map identifying your region.
- At least 4 historical landmarks found in your region.
- At least 2 images of landforms found in your region.
- At least one image of the predominant precipitation found in your region. For example, snow would be appropriate for the Northeast!
Make note of all sources used for pictures and information and include in poster at the bottom of your poster.
Extra credit: Record an introduction to your region and add your sound clip to your poster. Hint this is a 3 step process and your will need to ask the teacher for a microphone to complete it. Good Luck!
