GLOCK DAY “Win a Glock Pistol” Contest
Official Rules & Regulations
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins at 12:00 p.m. PST on June 7th, 2015 and closes at 6:00 p.m. PST on June 7th, 2015.
HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST
Upon entry to Glock Day the eligible entrant is able to enter a ballot. Ballots supplied and handled by DVC staff. Entrant must supply full name, telephone number, email address, postal code, and specify whether or not they have their PAL Licence.
ELIGIBILITY
In order to enter the Contest, you must (i) be a resident of BC (ii) age of 19 years of age or older (iii) Possess a valid PAL Licence or be willing to apply for one.
Entrants are not eligible to participate in the Contest if they are a) Employees of DVC
The Sponsor shall have the right to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate. All decisions regarding eligibility to enter this Contest will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, whichreserves the right to disqualify any entry. Entries become the property of Sponsor. Entry into this Contest constitutes acceptance of these rules (the "Contest Rules").
PRIZE
There is one (1) prizeavailable to be won in this Contest.
The Grand Prize consists of one (1) Glock pistol. The Grand prize is valued at $850.
The odds of winning will depend of the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash. The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-refundable, has no cash surrender value and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. The sponsor is not responsible for any malfunction of the device and is supported under the manufacturer’s warranty.
PRIZE DELIVERY
The Winner may claim his/her Prize at a DVC Ventures for pickup after he/she has been successfully contacted and notified of his/her Prize and has complied with the Contest Rules.
SELECTION OF WINNER
On June 7th, 2015 the name of the potential winnerswill be selected by a random draw by a DVC staff member from all eligible entrants received during the Contest Period.
AWARDING of PRIZE
The Winners will be notified by phone by a DVC staff member within 24 hours after their name has been selected.The Potential Winners will forfeit the Grand Prize if: (1) unreachable within 48 hours (2) refuses topossess or obtain a valid PAL Licence.
If the Prizes arenot awarded to the original winner DVC will select another Potential Winner by random draw from among the remaining eligible entries and so on until the Grand Prize is awarded. Unreachable entrants will be removed from contest moving forward.
In agreeing to the rules and regulations, the Potential Winnersare required to:
- Confirm eligibility for the Contest and compliance with the Contest Rules;
- Agree to accept the Prizes as offered;
- Grant to Sponsor the unrestricted right, in the Sponsor's sole discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, statements, endorsements, name, voice, photograph and likeness for advertising and/or publicity of the Winner for advertising and promotional purposes.
- Release the Sponsor, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their employees and suppliers from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest-related activity, or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Grand Prize (including without limitation, costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising there from);
MISCELLANEOUS CONDITIONS
By participating, each Entrant agrees:
- That they have read and understood these Contest Rules and are bound by them,
- That they are bound by any decision of Sponsor or its agents regarding the awarding of the prizes
- To accept the prizes won in the form in which it is awarded, and
- The acceptance of the prizes is subject to the terms outlined in these Contest Rules.
LIABILITY
Contest Sponsor shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost, delayed, incomplete, line failures of any telecommunication network, failure of computer equipment or any other malfunction or human or technical error.
SPONSOR RIGHTS
Contest Sponsor reserves its right to cancel, terminate, or suspend this Contest, at its sole discretion, for any reason, including, but not limited to, a technical failure, unauthorized human intervention, fraud or any other occurrence or cause beyond its control that corrupts or adversely affects the administration, security, fairness or normal operation of the Contest.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By participating in the Contest, the entrant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information by the Sponsor for the purpose of administering the Contest, awarding the Prize and announcing the Winners as well as for promotional, advertising and publicity purposes by the Sponsor in any media relating to the Contest.
GOVERNING LAW
The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Contest Rules or the rights and obligations as between the entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of BC including procedural provisions without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction's laws.
