This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. WB4958-10/16of 31st October, 2016 on-line and Local Newspapers, Zambia Daily Mail and Times of Zambia (in Zambia), Sunday Mail and Herald (in Zimbabwe).

The Zambezi River Authority has received loans and grants from the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Swedish Government and the World Bank's International Development Association (IDA); toward the cost of implementation of the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of these loans and grants to payments under the contract for the Refurbishment of the Kariba Dam Spillway Upstream Control Facility. This contract will be jointly financed by the AfDB, Swedish Government and the World Bank. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank's eligibility rules and procedures. The Zambezi River Authority intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for supply, installation and commissioning of a temporary cofferdam, new emergency gate, new maintenance stop beams, related civil works on the embedded parts, new gantry crane and related civil works (including new concrete beam for upstream rail) and electrical works for the mentioned equipment.

The Bidding Documents for the procurement of these works will be prepared based on the World Banks Standard Bidding Document (April 2015 version) - for Works and is based on agreed template between the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) and will include amendments to allow the design and procurement of the gantry crane It is expected that invitations for bids will be made in April, 2017.

Prequalification will be conducted through use of the World Bank's Standard Prequalification Document for Works July2016 and prequalification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, January 2011 Revised July2014, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the prequalification document at the Zambezi River Authority Head Office in Lusaka, Zambia (address below) from 0800 to 1230 hours and from 1430 hours 1630hours local time from Monday to Friday except for public holidays. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be obtained by interested Applicants from the address below upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ZMW1000 or US$100 and on furnishing evidence(copy) of such deposit.

The method of payment will be Cash or a direct bank deposit to the Zambezi River Authority account; Standard Chartered Bank, Lusaka Main Branch, US$ Account: 87-00-211487-500; SWIFT Code: SCBLZMLX or Kwacha Account: 01-00-110230-800. The document will be provided as a hard copy and may be couriered by express mail on payment of a further amount of US$120.00 to cover cost of shipment. Electronic copies may only be sent as unofficial copies for convenience only after hard copies have been sent.

Invitation for Bids

1. The Kingdom of Cambodia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Uplands Irrigation and Water Resources Management Sector Project. Part of this loan will be used for payments under the contracts named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible countries of ADB who can prove their eligibility and qualification as mentioned hereunder and in the Bidding Documents.

Contract No. / Description of Package / The bidder should have participated as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor in at least one contract within the last 7 years that has been successfully or substantially completed and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds cost given below. The similarity of the Bidder’s participation shall be based on the physical size, nature of works, complexity, methods, technology or other characteristics as described in Section 6, Employer’s Requirements / The bidder should have an average annual construction turnover of US$ as mentioned below, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last three (03) years.

2. The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) of the Kingdom of Cambodia (“the Employer”) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the package as mentioned above (“the Works”).

3. International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
1. The Republic of Maldives has received a loan and Istisna’a financing from the Islamic Development Bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments toward the cost of Construction of and Sewerage Facilities in the Island of K.Himmafushi, K.Thulusdhoo and Hdh.Nolhivaranfaru
2. Ministry of Finance and Treasury (MOFT) on behalf of the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MEE ), now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Construction of and Sewerage Facilities in the Island of K.Himmafushi, K.Thulusdhoo and Hdh..Nolhivaranfaru
3. The Works include Construction of sewerage networks, sewage treatment plants, of K.Himmafushi, K.Thulusdhoo and Lh.Nolhivaranfaru together with required ancillary facilities such administrative buildings etc.
4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing, May 2009, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
5. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) or its equivalent in a freely-convertible currency from 12th December 2016 to 12th February 2017 between 0830hrs and 1330hrs on all working days. Bidders, who are willing to pay the registration fee electronically, please email us requesting for bank details. Invitation for Bids

1. The Government of Nepal has received financing from Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project – Additional Financing. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open only to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

2. Project Implementation Directorate, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders, based on post-qualification criteria, for the construction and completion of the Works as described below.

3. The “Works” mainly comprise of laying of approximately 35 km of DI pipe &150km of HDPE pipes with necessary fittings, valves; road reinstatement and black topping works, etc.

4. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: Two Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.

5. Only experienced and eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

 Minimum average annual construction turnover of US$32.20 million or equivalent calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed within last five (5) years.

 Participation in at least one contract that has been successfully or substantially completed within the last seven (07) years and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder's participation exceeds US$ 32.20 million or equivalent.

 Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor of 180 km (cumulative) of DI and HDPE pipe line works in one contract within the last seven (07) years, that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works.

 Participation as contractor, management contractor, or subcontractor of 275,000 sqm (cumulative) of bituminous black topping work or 11500 cum (cumulative) of bituminous asphalt concrete works in one contract within the last seven (07) years, that have been successfully or are substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed work.
