The Meeting was called to order at 11:00.

Minutes from May 21, 2008 were read. / Outcome - MSC
Vote - MSC to approve the minutes of 5/21/08

Discussion Items:

Board Policy

The Mass Communication policy was presented to the Student Affairs Committee for second reading and vote at their May 21, 2008 meeting, but returned to TMS by Exec for revisions. Policy revisions were made by TMS / Outcome – MSC
Revised Mass Communication policy was passed by Committee with amendments.

Administrative Regulations

The Administrative Regulations were presented to Student Affairs Committee for first reading. Recommendations from the SA Committee were discussed along with revisions from TMS Committee members. Final revisions to the Regs were made by the Committee. / Outcome - MSC
Revised Mass Communication regulations approved and forwarded to Student Affairs Committee .

Information Items:

Student Email System

Reed Anderson updated the Committee on the status of the Student Email System. EOPS will be piloting the email system during this semester. Students will then be surveyed regarding their usage of the system and recommendations. / Outcome
Ongoing information item

Peoplesoft Implementation

Dr. Hurley reported that CIBER is the consulting company that has been hired by the college and that implementation should begin by the end of the semester / Outcome

IT Goals

Dr. Hurley reported on the IT goals shared at the CCCC meeting. The Committee made the following suggestions for additional Student Services goals:
-  Full implementation of student email system
-  On-line student early alert system
-  Automated FAQ system for new website / Outcome
