Boys Town Nevada Celebrates 12 Days of Boys Town
Las Vegas, Nev. – Boys Town Nevada is adapting the season’s 12 Days of Christmas to celebrate its youth with 12 days of special activities. Running Dec. 1 through Dec. 12, it all leads up to the campus’ open house: the Festival of Hope.
Day 1: An evening with musical guests and performances, complete with a BBQ.
Day 2: Las Vegas firefighters drop off turkeys and NFL jerseys at Family Homes® for youth.
Day 3: Las Vegas Metro Police Department members deliver baskets to Family Homes with the remaining ingredients for a holiday meal.
Day 4: UFC fighters and MMA radio announcers join Boys Town youth for a meet and greet, autograph signing and a pizza dinner.
Day 5: Local lawyers and judges stop by Boys Town homes to drop off robes and gifts.
Day 6: Youth, Family-Teachers® and Assistant Family-Teachers receive gift cards provided by Bank of America to assist in secret Santa shopping.
Day 7: Volunteers “Deck the Homes” to dress the Boys Town campus in holiday spirit.
Day 8: Family Homes build gingerbread villages to display at the open house.
Day 9: Youth attend Las Vegas Speedway’s annual Glittering Lights event.
Day 10: P.F. Chang’s invites Family Homes to dinner at the restaurant where the youth will receive a gift from Nike.
Day 11: In-Home Awareness Day directs donors to the Target registry where they can purchase gifts for Boys Town.
Day 12: The community is invited to Boys Town’s Festival of Hope open house, an evening filled with holiday festivities and opportunities to meet the youth whose lives they are changing.
