Consultant/Sr. Manager 2006 - 2012

  • Managed data requirements for the RFI (Request for Information) process through RFP (Request for Proposal) implementation and execution of problem solving throughout the project life cycle.
  • Organized/implemented integration of Pfizer and Wyeth optical networks that produced a synergy of $1M annually through cost effective and simplified network processes.
  • Managed the deployment and enhancements of the MPLS eVPN (enhanced Virtual Private Network) throughout North America and Latin America to meet fluctuations in business demands given company growth and reduction initiatives.
  • Orchestrated implementation of the Legacy Wyeth UVN (Ultra Available Network) optical network encompassing multiple suppliers for all Mid Atlantic and Virginia locations, enabling GBit Ethernet WAN connectivity while leveraging Cisco ONS 15454 carrier class network gear.
  • Managed the transformation of the Legacy Wyeth Frame Relay Hybrid network thru BT (British Telecom) to an AT&T MPLS AVPN (Advanced Virtual Private Network) utilizing multiple suppliers for network data transport and IPT voice traffic throughout North America and Latin America including hardware procurements resulting in a significant cost savings within the effected regions.

Technical Project Manager 2003 – 2006

  • Planned and deployed the requirements for the WISK (Wyeth Infrastructure Services Knowledge) Oracle database tracking documentation of network components within the Wyeth enterprise providing detailed accounting of staffing, problem escalation procedures, hardware components, their depreciation, and associated SLA (Service Level Agreements). Performing these tasks internally saved in excess of $100k annually.
  • Presented select operational projects to executive/ senior management as part of development program for high potential managers and technology professionals.
  • Executed newly negotiated network contracts to replace the existing Frame Relay/Hybrid enterprise wide suppliers with BT (British Telecom) for the EMEA, North America and Latin America and NTTA (Nippon Telephone and Telegraph of America in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region resulting in an annual cost savings of $500K.
  • Utilized bilingual skills to enhance customer relationship management for Latin American clients in Governance Counsel monthly meetings.

Network Management Tools Administrator1995 – 2002

  • Spearheaded a network global solution for engineering and ongoing support of the WAN technology management tools enabling a single common interface enterprise-wide, which eliminated the duplication of hardware, resulting in lower annual costs and staff reductions.
  • Coordinated the network component of the Wyeth Datacenter relocation to the newly constructed facility in Frazer, PA. This included the relocation of the SONET ring and Frame Relay networks for anticipated growth while sustaining a 24x7 operational availability.
  • Installed, engineered, administered and maintained IBM’s Netview application and AIX operating system, and Ciscoworks configuration management for monitoring of the network health. These tools were utilized by the level 1 Helpdesk and level 2 network engineers for problem determination and resolution.
  • Represented the network team within the Y2K corporate initiative which included the transitioning of the legacy Wyeth SNA network to an IP (Internet Protocol) industry standard, requiring the complete replacement of hardware, software and management tools and data transport within the enterprise.
  • Provided mentoring for area colleges interns enrolled in an IT professional curriculum.
