Director of Clinical Services

Agency:

The mission of Geta Grant Agency is to empower individuals and their families to lead lives which are healthy, productive, satisfying and free of substance abuse. Geta Grant has provided community-based behavioral healthcare services in Grant County since 1972. The agency maintains counseling centers in Venus, Pluto, and Mars.

Definition:The Director of Clinical Services is a Senior Manager at GetaGrant who is responsible for the quality of clinical services system-wide and for direct supervision of the HIV/AIDS Services programs.

This position reports directly to Executive Director.

This is an exempt position.

Duties:

  • Provide direct supervision to the HIV/AIDS program coordinator. Insure program fidelity, program reports, data collection, staffing, and billing functions.
  • Receive, evaluate, and dispatch all requests for confidential information and subpoena’s to the agency.
  • Review and sign all program charts weekly and provide timely feedback to program director’s regarding staff compliance to all charting mandates..
  • Contribute to agency certification through AOD and CARF
  • Develop and provide agency staff training in relation to certifying and funding body mandates and requirements.
  • Manage agency file storage and record destruction at all sites insuring record security and following HIPAA guidelines.
  • Represent the agency at community meetings and meetings with contract monitors.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times (follow HIPAA guidelines).
  • Provide safe environment for all program participants.
  • Obey all health and safety policies and procedures of Geta Grant Agency.
  • Obey all federal, state and local laws.
  • Submit accurate and timely personnel information and reporting of hours worked bi-weekly.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed as a mental health professional in the State of California.
  • At least 2 years middle management experience in a non-profit agency environment.
  • Experience in agency certification processes of Community Care Licensing, Mental Health Licensing, CARF, and/or AOD certification.
  • Experience in insurance benefits and billing desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in substance abuse treatment services. Certification in substance abuse field desirable.
  • Strong supervisory experience and ability to lead staff to quality service goals

Education:

Minimum master’s degree in psychology, health, sociology, or other related professional degree required.

Skills and Abilities: Computer proficiency in MS Word/ Excel/ Access. Present positive image of agency to community. Work effectively in a team environment. Strong oral and written communication skills and a sense of humor. Ability to communicate well using English in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work with ethnically diverse population. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

License: Valid California Drivers License, Class III/ C in good standing. Proof of current auto insurance.

Employment is contingent upon successful pass of drug testing, fingerprinting, successful reference checks, DMV clearance if applicable, satisfactory health exam, proof of auto insurance, current certificate in first aid/CPR (or scheduled), and agreement to uphold all New Connections Policies and Procedures.
