Job Responsibilities

Queen Princess should attend as many activities as possible during the fair.

  1. Being Queen & Princess is a year round commitment, not just fair week
  1. You are role models representing the Logan County Jr. Fair rabbit program. Everyone will be watching you.
  1. Remain positive and enthusiastic – be friendly and courteous
  1. Support one another
  1. It’s a big job, so share the responsibility.
  1. Dress appropriately- use the show dress code & sale dress code as guidelines. Look good since you are representing the Fair.

DRESS CODE

(Show & Sale Guidelines)

1. Dress code for showing and selling livestock (to include all livestock): Rabbits, Poultry, Goats and Dairy exhibitors need to check their department for guidelines specific to them.

2. Exhibitors will be required to wear black pants, slacks, or jeans and a collared white shirt with long sleeves. The shirt must be long enough to tuck into the pants. Only the top 2 buttons may be unbuttoned; all other buttons must be buttoned.

3. Plain white lab coats will be allowed in the show and sale ring. Shirt and lab coat cannot have lettering or graphics of any kind.

4. A shirt/blouse w/buttons can only have the top two (2) unbuttoned. No crop tops, tank tops, spaghetti strap tops, low cut tops, sleeveless t-shirts, mesh, muscle, farm names & writing of any form. No Capri’s

5. All shoes with strings are to be tied.

6. No hats can be worn by exhibitors in the show ring or sale ring!

7. No open toed shoes will be allowed in the show or sale ring.

8. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

9. Jr. Fair Department Committee members have the authority to determine what is considered appropriate dress and personal appearance for Jr. Fair exhibitors. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

  1. Be careful with tops- no low cut or tube tops,etc.
  1. Do not wear your sash and crown when you are being judged or selling your animal.
  1. Meet each day with one another to go over the schedule and talk about how things went the day before
  1. Feel free to talk with the committee orAnnie if you have questions.

Possible Activities

  1. Go introduce yourself to the Managing Secretary, Treasurer, and President of the Sr. Fair Board. See what activities you can be involved in with during the fair (Baked Goods Sale, etc.)
  1. Visit Merchants in the various buildings. Thank them for exhibiting.
  1. Attend part of the Livestock Sale.

4. Participate in local festivals, parades, etc.
