33 registrants so far (pay pal and postal method working well) . Our target is 200 so we need a fresh mail to go to societies.

Excellent news that we have 13 societies confirmed so far
Science
Lauren is working on programme and speakers. We will need details soon to allow publicity at universities before they break up for the summer (Action point SPJ to contact Lauren)
Food
Meeting last week with Chef:
Friday buffet is chip buffet with licensed bar.
Congress dinner will be four courses + coffee with table cloths .
Need meeting with Orchid Café to talk about menus etc.
Need to confirm judges breakfast with Mr Hobley
Judging
Jacob still to complete list – must be done by Friday and sent to Sara Ritershausen to arrange rosettes and schedule to BOC.
Publicity
Gardeners world coming with Monty Don.
Time to write letters to all magazines for publication in the summer. All committee to bring in magazines – SPJ to draft article for adaption for different audiences by heather and her team.
Show publicity – 500+ fliers given out at London Show. Need more for Bristol Show this weekend, Bristol Garden Garden Life show (May), Hampton Court (July)

Congress programme
Callum Swift has pages planned (24 page booklet) and is getting quotes. Aim to give to all registrants and sell to day visitors.
Sponsorship to be looked for.
Congress bags
British Orchid Council to fund purchase of bags (Ian to find details) and Zoe Barnes has made progress with design but a good idea to go on and produce.
Key rings to be made by end of April – Georgia + Lilly to see mr Williams for catalogue for acrylic and rings order.
Staffing
Annie will organize the trade support team. We also need Atrium support team and registrants lounge and science symposium team.
AOB
Writhlington needs to staff the greenhouse for tours / micro-prop workshops and so Writhlington sales table will be in the greenhouse classroom to avoid us being over stretched.
